The SMK in War Thunder is probably the worst Premium tank I have every played so far. It's a lot of fun because it's the ultimate two turret derp tank, but it's so full of weak spots it's difficult to survive playing against a good player!
The SMK tank is a total oddball. It has two turrets, good hull armour but absolutely abysmal turret armour. The worst thing about this tank is that it's HUGE. It's one of the longest tanks in the game and the main turret sticks up so high it exposes its ammo rack to anyone who can see even a sliver of your side.
The ZiS-12 is an absolute blast to play. It's got a twin 37mm cannon that can punch through light tanks and even some mediums. It's difficult to hit air craft but when you do, there won't be much left.
The Yak-9B in War Thunder is an amazing CAS plane. It's got 4 really nice bomb drops and a decent machinegun and cannon for dealing with both tanks and planes alike. It flies well, turns well and it's fast. You can often get 4 kills with the bombs, fly to your airfield and go rearm then do it again.

I honestly like the rain effect, it gives a bit of realism and is fun to fly in. But its definitely a bummer that those who are colorblind cant see in it.

I got the smk recently cause I wanted it for a while. I've had great fun in it, it's kinda like the m3 lee (which I also love). Its very quick for its size, it does struggle a bit in uptiers but overwhelming firepower makes up for it. Playing a group of these things is hilarious, you can just become a land battleship and overwhelm anything you see. Only tanks I've had problems killing is churchill's.

Hello from The Shire...I grew up on the Oregon coast where it rains from the middle of August until the first of June...Never saw blue mist along the coast or forests...Only in the mountains did I observe a bluish tint to the mists during a rain...I agree that Gaijin should ease up on the colors a bit...Thanks again Odd, this is a fine video...

I like the rain effect as a concept, but the way they implemented it just makes it washed out. If it darkened the overall map without just putting a blue fog filter over everything, I think it'd be a lot better.

hi odd love the vids for the record I hate the rain effects to not sure if you know this and ignore it for video quality or you just dont know this but if u go into options-(bottom left corner)postfx settings in color correction u can change the tint of the screen to an orange color that might even the playing field in terms of sight p.s this also works in night battles if u dont have night vision

i find the SMK works better in a close-quarters urban map. it's big turret's tower is it's biggest weakness, but if you use the baby turret to poke around corners, you'll live a bit longer

Hey OddBawZ I wonder have WT 'upped 'the compression effect for aircraft particularly Fighter Bombers in ground RB? It's been happening to me on planes I thought I knew well all the time now! Maybe be its some subtle accidental change in my control setup, or I suddenly can't fly anymore but I really do notice how much more I hit dirt rather than pull out of a CAS dives.

Hi Odd! Great vid, in Game 1 SMK fighting part you talked about that you don't see anything in that blue haze. I thought WT had colorblindness modes doesn't that help ? And what about Post Fx , I know it's a bit cheeky but in maps where I can't se properly I change the settings. For example in snow maps the white burns my eyes and I just use night out of day. In this haze there is option to "yellow" it more. Since it is inengine picture control it works for depths as well, not just as filter. And no, I hate weather effects in WT, Thanks.

The struggle of playing this game while color blind is something I know very well. If the match isn't during the bright afternoon, I'm just scanning for movement since a parked tank will be virtually invisible to me

I like the rain effect when im in a tank because it feels a lot more like a tank battle and not a holliday in like Spain with the nuclear sun or something but in a plane tou should atleast be a be able to see the ground.

Hey odd have you looked into color blind glasses. I got a pair for a close friend and he won't take them off because he is so happy to see color now. Unknown how they work with a computer display color wise but worth a try.

Odd there was a new plane added last week and it looked like a p-40f but there was a catch for it tho. it had 2 .50 cals in the nose and 4 .30 cals in the wing. I'm very confused on why tho ??
