@@mrbejam Well it was neither a funny nor obvious one. What you call "a joke", many will see as little more than snide barb and carping. Before condescendingly telling others what they should do, you may wish to consider the possibility that the problem lies closer to home with an inability or arrgoant refusal to appreciate that much can be lost in text exchanges? Aisling Bea, humourous at best or over-rated, tired, predicatble and clichéd at worst. Pretty much all comedians have their respective followers and supporters, however, that almost 3k are motivated to dislike the vid' suggest something is wrong with what she is doing.

@GuadalupePicasso4 жыл бұрын
Impatief I’ve had it saved in my phone’s notes for 5 years now, but I’ll never forget the one time that I asked a friend in Central Ireland for her address, so that I could catch a taxi. She said, “Where I live, there are no addresses”, as she typed in “go three miles past the village, past the three houses on the left, and I’m then the first one past the stone fence, with the green door. If you reach the cemetery, you’ve gone too far.” I got there super late, when she and her family were already in bed, so she said that she’d leave the aforementioned green door unlocked for me. Given the nature of the directions, I was beyond relieved to see them in the morning, knowing that I had indeed slept on the correct couch.

And since we are revealing hidden truths about slavery, why not talk about the fact that slavery in some form was widely accepted in most cultures at the time, why not talk about the fact that slavery in Gaelic Ireland stopped spontaneously by the 13th century. Why don't we also talk about how the Irish enslavement of the Welsh St Patrick and the resulting introduction of the Latin alphabet to Ireland resulted in the preservation and reproduction of countless Roman texts that would have been lost to time, Ireland being the only stable literate society in western Europe after Rome collapsed.

Omg-I had an Irish boyfriend for several years and this brings it all back. He was from “da deepest bog inside da deepest big in all of Kerry.” Goddamn she is funny, and this reminds me so much of him. He used to make me laugh so hard that I would literally shed tears

I just saw a Netflix series called "Living With Yourself" and it's really good and I KNEW I knew the girl in it from somewhere but couldn't place from where. So I looked her up and TURNS out I remembered her from a 1.5 hr game show I watched once 2 years ago called "The Big Fat Quiz of Everything". Aisling was so funny it made an impression on me. So I did some more searching and found this stand-up. I never knew she did stand-up and, she does it excellently! So what I know so far is that she's great at stand-up, great at improv, and great at acting. What can't she do? I'm a big fan now.
