I love destinations where you don't have to do much research/ study about.
This is one of them.
Enjoy being in the moment, and drink in the views.
I walked up the 409 steps. It's quite steep but there are safety handrails - and plenty of wooden benches to get your breath back, and of course, sit, pause, marvel and take in the views.
Came to do this activity after returning to Iona for lunch after a morning explore - give plenty of time.
You will get a good sense of the city, the landscape and of course, your ship.
