I'd make it different way: I'd lay those panels horizontally -> it's much easier to lay them on the top of each other. And also I'd leave vertical rebars from the foundation, so every panel layer would have holes for rebars and it would make the whole structure much stronger.

One thing I think I would have done is put PL300 between each panel and caulking on the bottom because the smack pins raise the panels a little, just a thought.

This is a good project, but I would add hold-downs to the slab and fasterners that will add shear value to the walls.

this is so cool, I might have an idea for ya. one of the few issues with the panels i see are attaching side by side panels and of course the metal framing would be a thermal bridge. maybe an idea would be to to form with strip-able forms (2x4s) and have a couple pvc pipes running horizontally though it every 2 feet or so, then when you want to stand them just temporary brace em and then shove some a piece of 5/8's re bar horizontally through the wall sides and 90s piece lapping them in the corners and pump some grout int it. That would solve all the problems i could see with your method and you could then grout the panels together after it's done.

Great work ! For middle and northern european climate the aircrete Wall Panels are a bit thin and so not provide much thermal insulation. For colder regions you could concidere to make them thicker. Hint... Install all your piping in the floor before you poor the insulating aircrete on top of the floor. Piping for sewage, hot & cold water, all copper piping, electrical conduits, and last but not least the floor heating can be and should be inside the aircrete floor slab! For building structures made of conventional steel reinforced dense concrete, you can cast a thick layer of insulating aircrete on top. Within this thick aircrete topping layer all the above mentioned piping should be. This construction method allows an effizient use of aircrete combined with a well insulated floor. Of course the aircrete floor slab must be protected for moisture from the underlaying soil. That is done by thick plastik foil that forms a moisture barrier between the soil and the aircrete floor slab. In traditional USA houses made of wood, a light weight insulating aircrete floor screte can improve living comfort a lot. The aircrete screet "floats" on the existing wooden floor. Piping could be integrated in the aircrete floor in top. I advise to reinforce the aircrete screet with alkalic resistent glass fibers or alternatively reinforce with steel fibers. ( Glassfiebers are better since steel fibers tend to sink to the bottom while casting) FYI standard glass fibres will solve in alcalic cementous environment, the special alcalic resistent glass fibers however will not dissolve! Do not vibrate wet aircrete since the solids (Sand) will sink to the bottom. Regards Greattimez in sunny Españistan

Seems like one would want to be wearing gloves, working with all that sheet metal. Looks good in an instructional vid too. An impressive project. I really like the fireproof/resistant material, living in N. California fire country. A little prior planning with the kids wouldn't hurt.

Love it! A suggestion, with all respect: almost the whole video (min1:30 to min630) was spent standing up the two corner panels. What's involved in that task could have been condensed, mucho. Switch to fast(er)-forward where there are no specific instructions - but don't edit the bloopers. Nicely done.

This is an interesting project but some of these choices i'm finding confusing. Your building highly insulated concrete walls put your putting them in sheet metal that is going to conduct heat at every seam. Look at any house with aluminum frame windows. There is a reason why they are not used anymore except ones designed with thermal breaks. Also the form is sized the same as the channel on the foundation so I assume there is issues getting the panels to drop all the way to the bottom. It seems to me that if these walls were made in a similar fashion but a release agent was used and the forms were reusable then they would drop right into the sheet metal stud footer and you could use construction adhesive at all the joints that would be insulative and structural all at a lower total cost of building it. With a reusable form you could also do the tongue and groove you spoke about in an earlier video without having a very expensive custom sheet metal roller setup. Wood is a lot easier to shape than sheet metal.

Looks great...unless that is you happen to understand a bit about structural integrity and building. So....what consideration was given to creating a safe living space? There is obviously no type of consideration given to codes here, as these walls are terribly fragile at least as they appeared to be installed here. No utilities it appears, but am about to look at other videos to check that out. But there is nothing to hold the panels to the floor except the steel channel? And the corners...well it was not clear how you fastened them together but there again...appeared to be nothing but some strap you put on the top of the two pieces that met at each corner. Can you please address these types of concerns as the whole point of building is to create safe spaces for humans, not just being cheap or using Aircrete for the sake of using Aircrete - if the space falls apart at the first stiff breeze, it is useless.
