Stan Vitikas was diagnosed Stage 1, Grade 3 pancreatic adenocarcinoma cancer in late 2007 making him a 16-year survivor as of late 2023.
After undergoing six months of chemotherapy and radiation treatment, Stan gives credit for his survival to his Whipple Surgeon, Adyr Moss of the Mayo Clinic. Stan said “he told me he was confident he removed every bit of cancer and told me you’re going to live to be 80 and die from something other than pancreatic cancer.
Four years later, he began having complications relating to residual scarring that resulted in several bouts of acute pancreatitis leading to a second Whipple Procedure in 2013. In 2015 he had several bouts of severe chronic pancreatitis and had several stents via a complex procedure through his stomach.
Stan now has become an advocate and fundraiser for the Seena Magowitz Foundation which funds pilot clinical trials that intend to develop innovative treatments to extend and save lives of pancreatic cancer patients. He has personally raised over $125,000 in donations.

I have a 2cm cyst smack dab in the middle of mine...VERY GOOD location in case of removal but funny thing: urine, stool 2 full blood panels 8 weeks apart: ALL BEAUTIFUL and negative. Colonoscopy perfect...just lost 20 lbs kinda faster than normal and the only thing i feel is like a mild "wind knocked out of me " feeling right in my solar plexus. Appetite is fine but constipation/diarrhea combo is still going on. Lastly, endoscopic procedure is in a week to get the "final answer" but besides all the normal blood work, my CA 19-9 was 1475 so wtf? Hmmm...its a mystery. Im hoping for it to be benign and i just got IBS, which ill take any day of the week!

@@SeenaMagowitzFoundation thanks...I haven't been diagnosed YET...there's no solids in the mass and my Gastrointestinal gal said the CT showed no weird blood vessel stuff around or beneath it. Like an internal skin tag at this point. The Endoscopy will clarify that. I go in next week the 15th. Thanks for the resource info!!!!
