I am loving your intro videos. I start working for a company and training on an a60h hauler, then onto a payloader and excavator, so these videos are giving me a real heads up

I'm an advocate of starting small and working your way up. First loader I ever ran was a gas powered non articulating rear steer loader without self leveling bucket. Probably 14 years before I worked my way up to a 992 going through everything iteration and size. Including backwards articulating loaders and hydrostatic tractor loaders. Ditto bulldozers, track loaders, scrapers, hoisting machines, etc. IMHO really good operators are built. Piece by piece. That takes time and experience. IUOE Local 15 (38 yrs ret)

love the video when I got my loader licence here in Australia we used an old style wa800 loader with one joystick for up down and bucket curl up and down, steering wheel forward-reverse lever on the steering column after one day of practical training instructor /assessor said i was a natural operator lol never played a video game ever we used old style loader as instructor said one should learn on a old style loader then as u get better upgrade to the more modern machines his idea was if we learn on the new modern machines and nothing else we could get a job with someone who operates old school loaders and we wont have an idea how to use it lol

I'm in my mid 40's and been a cubicle living keyboard warrior for my entire working life. I have just recently started learning to run equipment mainly a couple of very old large front end loaders on a ranch. Having also played video games since the original pong games were new up through the current day consoles I would really like to try one of these new machines because I'm guessing it's not as much like video games as these guys are saying it is. But I could be wrong. :)

Hey man thanks a lot for these videos. I haven't operated a wheelloader in years and the newest one was from 2003ish. Yesterday I got a call if I could cover some weekend night shifts ($$$) at a local raw materials processing / recycling plant. I immediately told them 'yes' when they asked if I could operate a wheelloader, because first of all you don't get the chance that often if you don't have years of experience on paper, and second because I know KZfaq exists. That company only has Volvo wheelloaders in the H series, from L90Hs to L180Hs, and I have no experience with them, but because of your videos I know the basic 'new style' (not a single joystick) controls and feel confident in going there. If there was no KZfaq, I would probably have had to say no!

Grew up playing video games. Hopped in a friends excavator he borrowed from work. Five minutes had the movements down. I know it takes like 10 years to master grading and whatnot though.

Volvo's are top-of-the-line when it comes to all the bells and whistles auto shift joystick control fastest return to dig cycle differential lock easy access with your left toe only thing bad about them is if you got to do some minor repair work to them they will not give up any of their secrets or how to do anything they want you to bring it in there is no customer support on used machines that's the only thing I don't like about Volvo other than that I love everything else Ford turned that way I don't like them as much as I used to because they don't want you to touch their product I feel once you sign your name it is yours to do what you want to other than certain guidelines that may void the warranty as soon as the warranties gone neither of them are willing to share anything and you can't find much online for schematics on either one they keep everything hush-hush I have a new liking for John Deere construction and GM Chrysler hasn't even been on my mind since the 70s

Do any loaders still use rear steer? I was brought up on those and the first centre steer loader was freaking weird for quite some time... Do any use a rocking throttle pedal for forward and reverse - used forklifts like that and they are so darned handy for constant direction changes.

Why is Volvo still using levers for the boom and bucket, pretty much everyone else uses a single joystick for boom and bucket controls.
@timfagan816
@timfagan816 5 жыл бұрын
Depends what size Volvo your in! Most smaller loaders have the joy stick, then you move up the the quarry sized ones. And they have the two levers, I hated the levers, over the joy stick when I first started in a quarry. Now I'd never go back to the joystick!

Tinnitus is brain damage caused by hearing loss in which you hear ringing to compensate for the absence of ambient noise. You're thinking of tendinitis.
@gordowg1wg145

Nope, damaged nerves in the ear and/or broken hairs interfering with intact ones and giving false signals to the brain.
@StefanBacon
@StefanBacon 5 жыл бұрын
@@gordowg1wg145 actually, you're on the right track regarding the cause of tinnitus, but you're describing hearing loss, which causes the brain to misrepresent the absence of expected ambient noise signals.
