the thing i most admire about jin is that he knows how to break the tension. often in interviews in english he acts as the ice breaker (often using the worldwide handsome line) to make the others feel more comfortable . the members themselves have said that after jin does that it really helps a lot

The song is Whalien 52 and the story behind it is amazing. The fact that they thought to make a song about it its even more amazing. The 52-hertz whale is an individual whale of unidentified species, which calls at the very unusual frequency of 52 Hz. One of the things Jin said once “when I practice sometimes I feel like I’m like Jhope but then I look in the mirror and I’m just Jin” or similar to this and it broke my heart. He and namjoonie has come so far and actually dance really well and seem to pick up routines much quicker. I remember when I listened to “awake” for the first time (I don’t speak Korean) but I knew what the song was about straight away.... I closed my eyes whilst listening to it and I actually cried (I don’t cry easily) I really felt his pain and struggles in that song. A little bit abt Jin's background, he was oringinally casted to become an actor as he was studying in acting at that time. So he became a trainee and changed into trainning to become an idol so he started out w no singing or dancing background. Not to mention he was the youngest in his family and after becoming a trainee he became the oldest and he got responsibilities to take care of the other 6, they were very young and were struggling as bighit at that time was a very small company. So when they got no money to buy food Jin had once have to ask for his family to support the members. Hes literally the epitome of the word "industrious". He worked so so so hard and even back then when they first debuted, you couldnt see that he (and RM) had no dance background, they practiced rlly hard that when they are on stage no flaws are seen. And you know how difficult BTS's choreo are, he conducted them flawlessly since debut. Jin's vocal teacher had also talked abt his hardworking and his improvement in singing, Jin also learned how to play instruments like guitar and piano and also learns how to write melody and lyrics. Its rlly inspiring to see Jin from changing his whole career path and worked so hard every single day to becoming one of the most talented idols.

The thing about Jin and Jhope personality (and i know, cause i'm exactly like them) they are the one who usually puts the good mood in the group and makes everybody laugh so they feel like it's their responsibility to always be positive so when they are sad they'll often hide it or pretend everything is fine, like Jin talking about his body not being able to keep up, he was laughing but you could hear the sadness and his voice and Jhope when he's about to cry he try his hardest to keep smiling, now they are a lot better at expressing their emotions than in the past, but because they always seems like they're joking people tend to forget that they do get sad and upset and mostly with Jin they sometimes portray him as this 1 dimensional character when he's in fact as deep and philosophical as Namjoon and Yoongi, all of them are really....

Fact: Jin he really is considered one of the most beautifully scientifically beautiful guys in the world, his face is amazingly symmetrical because he always presents himself that way in bts

Jin let's himself be silly and embarrassing in interviews so the other members relax more, WWH is a classic example. He also talks to jimin about his looks in a vlive and how he thinks all the other members are more good looking etc and it's really heartbreaking and nice to see how kind he really is. He his so kind and caring and really takes a lot of heat volunteery so the other members don't have to. A true big brother 💜

Jin might be called fake maknae (the word for the youngest member in the band, which in BTS is Jungkook) and is funny and goofy, and sometimes over the top confident and seemingly narcissistic, but in reality Jin in a truly down-to-Earth guy, who has a nose for business and take his Hyung role very seriously behind the cameras. He is always the first one to wake up, to make sure every member is feed, healthy, and in a good mood, and he does that in a calm way. Even though he is teasingly called ''eomma Jin'' by fans, which means ''mama Jin'' for his worry and fussing sometimes, Jin is a very well behaved and serious gentleman when it's necessary. Just because he likes to joke around and is not the one to be angry at someone for long, that doesn't mean that he is not one of the most reliable and mature members in the band. He is Yoongi's roommate, which tells a lot since Suga is very picky with whom he could share a room. They say they are the most compatible with staying in the small space together. Plus Jin was the one who managed to convince Jimin to start eating again when the young man was so insecure in his body shape that he started a starve himself and workout like a madman... you can see the drastic change Jimin had at one point in their career, from chubby cheeks and abs to slim and fragile-looking man...luckily for Jimin's health, Jin managed to break through and put some sense first - health first. And during Jungkook's schooling, he was the one driving him to school and back every time he had a class and made sure that Jungkook is always taken care of. As for V, he always understood the boy's quirkiness and played along all of the games that Tae made up. Namjoon also depends on Jin's support and confidence. Whenever they are abroad and when Namjoon has to speak English for the entire group, he always wants Jin close by to give him strength and comfort. J-Hope is the most emotionally self-controlled person in the group, and his nature is very joyful, but Hoseok is an extreme hard-worker and sometimes knows how to push himself too much, that's when Jin steps in and makes him rest and take care of himself. BTS without Jin won't be as marvelous as it is. He is very important. He might not be the best dancer in the group, but he works hard to keep up and he does a pretty damn good job at that. He might not be the best singer (to me he is, he says so himself though), but he sounds amazing and practice all the time, I love his voice. He might be insecure deep down sometimes, but he hides that well from the cameras and people, making sure to look after his dongsaengs (younger brothers and friends), wearing his ''Worldwide Handsome'' mask and armor of confidence and greatness. Jin is an opportunist and knows how to use the moment and change the flow of the game or mood, and usually gets what he wants. That's why a lot of fans call Jin ''the next BigHit CEO'' (JinHit) because he is a good poker player, hard worker and charming to boot, loves money and he looks after the ones he loves and cares. Remember: Jin had Zero experience in singing/dancing as he was scouted from Big Hit for his looks/visuals while getting off a bus from school. Therefore, he had to work extra hard to catch up with the rest of the group who were experienced in those field. His solo song "Awake" tells his self-inner feelings (lyrics).

Jin is one of the kindest people there is. He struggled a lot. He took acting classes, and started singing and dancing only after joining bighit. He was insecure and the fact he didn't get much lines or screen time in older sings didn't help either. Still he cared for all his six younger brothers. You can find countless anecdotes where the other six sats how Jin has helped them stay in the group. He truly cares for all so much. He is polite, well mannered, a great cook, intelligent. The thing is Seokjin is actually pretty quiet and shy, when attention is really on him you can see his ears go red. 🤣 He works very on hard on his craft and his confidence, when armys say they want Seokjin's confidence it isn't this shiny, almost shameless persona of his, but the Seokjin that had told us that he actually worked on his confidence daily. Imagine getting into a group and see how all these members that actually brought skills to the table while you have none, it would have been hard to have confidence, even now sometimes we see his insecurities peeking out where he doubt that people go to his vlive just to see him and not some other member who is with him, or when he admits that his dancing is not good etc. He built his confidence, he had to worked to it and that is why we laugh at his 'shamelessness'. He is the epitome of working hard and effort. Jin is also known for his manners and friendliness. He is the one who often spot a loner in a group of people and will bring that person to mingle (a lot of people has spoken about this in shows), and he makes friends where ever they go (we can see in Bon Voyage etc). And as the eldest member of BTS, he'd given up a lot of his culturally given authority so he won't clash with RM who is the leader and so the young ones would feel comfortable with him, and sometimes this leads to hurt feelings and fights (shown in one of the movies) because they talk to him or behave toward him in an inappropriate manner. This level of thoughtfulness shows in his relationship with the others. Ugh, he's not my bias, but I love him just as much. 💜💜💜💜💜

When I first found BTS I didn't notice Jin too much tbh but he really crept up on me. There's more to him than what it seems, it's cool tt you guys are checking out. Respect to him for working hard despite not coming from any singing or dancing background

One thing I'll never forget is when Jin said "Only you should know your efforts." He may seem like the happy-go-lucky guy who only jokes around and praises his looks all the time but he's actually the opposite of that. Seokjin is very shy and introverted. His ears easily go red when complimented, especially when they praise him about his talents. He had zero background in singing and dancing but he worked extra hard to be able to live up to his position as a BTS member and now he makes his own music, dubbed as "silver voice" by the Grammys, the only member to get applause and standing ovation in concerts. He constantly improves himself but he does it so quietly, you won't know until you see the results, that's how humble he is. His members often say they hear him practicing in the hotel room til dawn. Recently, he said he's only been sleeping these days but Jimin revealed Jin has been practicing piano lately. You need to look deeply to know the true Jin. On top of that, he's willing to sacrifice himself just to make people happy. He feels the happiest when he sees others happy. Kim Seokjin is the best human ever. 💜

I definitely recommend looking into Jin’s many sides, whether it be his funny side, his serious side, or his more “older brother” side. There are many compilations on KZfaq about many aspects of his personality. A good look into his many sides is the KZfaq series Burn The Stage. Namjoon has often said that he keeps Jin next to him in challenging situations and/or interviews because Jin's presence is very calming and assuring. Namjoon gains confidence just by having Jin sit or stand next to him. what i love the most about jin is how the boys always describe jin as the shyest, yet bc he knows the other members get nervous when they do interviews or shows he always puts himself out there, for example when they appeared on knowing brothers (one of the only variety shows they ever went to) jin basically put all the pressure on himself, being the one that made sure to break the ice and never let things get too awkward, he made most of the jokes and interacted with the mcs of the show, even if his ears were burning red the whole time bc of how embarrassed he was. This video was indeed very short. He's my bias. This dude bought and cooked food for Bangtan when they literally had nothing. He drove the Maknae's to school....all while trying to practice and ACTUALLY learn literally everything an idol has to learn. He was recruited for his looks but Jin's history was in ACTING. He didn't sing. He didn't dance. He certainly didn't know how to be the senior in a group (not leader but a senior member due to his age and Korean honorifics)......but he managed. He made it. He practiced and worked hard everyday while taking care of the babies (the maknae). Kim Seokjin has worked so hard and has become a very recognizable voice in the industry. He's is leagues better than a lot of the industry in dancing and this from nothing.....I think this video doesn't really go into enough depth of what Kim Seokjin really is....

What I respect most about him is how he actually partially raised Jungkook and helped the others out when they had no money. He's the only one who comes from a wealthy family and was the only one with a driver's license, so he drove Jungkook to and from school. He also used his pocket money to buy them all food, which he then cooked himself. He basically fed the group. And even though he's the oldest and also kind of the group's mom, he never plays that card - unless someone really oversteps their boundaries (like that one fight with Tae we saw some of during their documentary, but even then he was the one to give in first and try to ease the tension, cuz a concert was at stake). He's the youngest in his family and that might be the reason why he's not as keen on being authoritative. He's also actually pretty shy and introverted, but always overcomes those characteristics to ease up the group when having to handle foreign country's interviews. Armys and BTS will notice easily how shy he actually is, cuz his ears usually turn red when he's embarrassed. He's a very funny, charming, sensitive, talented and kind guy and he's very much appreciated.

I admire Jin. He once said people don't need to know how hard you work. In fact he practices for hours late at night, while the others are sleeping. I was thrilled when a voice coach rated his song Epiphany, and said how he conquered the difficult notes perfectly, and made it look so easy. Our Jin has worked so hard in the background he deserves the utmost respect.

I think people forget that Jin is the youngest from his family. Now being the oldest in BTS comes with different responsibilities. I applaud Jin for doing such a great job. His parents did a great job raising him to be so humble. He never use his authority as the oldest to take advantage of the other BTS members. OT7!!!!

Jin is my fav of all time. He is the ice breaker of the group. he tent to make silly faces, funny old man jokes and annoying sound are just to make ppl around him at ease room filled with laughter. he felt embarrassed but he gain his purpose is to make ppl happy. His dancing extremely well now. he knows his weakness, he practiced No More Dreams dance routine 10hrs everyday for >2 mths (2018BTSFESTA). Hard work paid off.

Jin have a hard time because he were recruited by his face. So he have to prove that he was worth it in singing and dancing and not just the "pretty face". Some people keep telling him that he wasn't worth it in BTS, that BTS didn't need him. Its heartbroken heard him taking himself down sometimes telling that he isn't a good dancer, and people only comenting about his looks, beacuse he has one of the most beautiful and stable voices and is a such great dancer.

I saw Jin on Variety shows and found him to be interesting, intelligent and charming. He is known for being friendly and makes friends easily. I met BTS because I wanted to know more about this multi-faceted man.

OK this may or may not be a long one. Jin is one of my favourite members and I just feel so bad that so many people overlook him just because he's the oldest of the group. One of my favorite clips of him is when he is in line somewhere (airport maybe) and a fan tells him he's cute (or handsome, it was in Korean) and one of the managers is behind him. He waves slightly, then turns and buries his face in the chest of the staff behind him. It is so absolutely adorable. First in America it was tweets about "the first guy outta the car" then next awards was "third guy from the left". People started tweeting that the third from the left is so handsome etc. So he decided to embrace it, and now calls himself world wide handsome. I love Namjoon's reaction. Every time he's within hearing distance when Jin says it, RM just can't help but laugh hysterically. Some things it didn't show was that he wanted to be an actor, he loves cooking and taking care of the members, he has cooking segment called "Eat Jin", his family is very well off, his grandfather has a strawberry farm and so many other things. One I find sad though is he'll be having fun, laughing, being goofy, and then he sees the camera and stops it all, stands up straight and doesn't smile. That I'd like to see stop. Jin is a very amazing person, tbh. He did his best to be the older brother that the other members could rely on, even if he himself was not confident of his abilities ('coz he literally started from 0 skills and 0 interest unlike the other members who had both informal and formal experiences from their hometowns and childhood) and he's the youngest son in his family so he's used to being the one doted on. He always seems so cheerful and childish sometimes that it's easy to forget all the efforts that he never shows the rest of the world and even the rest of the group. He would get shy when the members would praise his hardwork even. Not only did he take care of all the others, as the oldest, but he was also the only one who could drive during their pre-debut or even until the Dope era. He would bring and fetch the younger members from school everyday, even when he himself was studying. He actually finished college while on tour. (That's really amazing because I'm not doing anything else in my life except college nor am I taking care of my younger brother, but it's still so hard to finish college. That's why he really inspires me to be better.) He's even doing his masters degree because he's a mature person that said that he won't be in this industry forever and that education is important. He's also been praised by other members because he's good at things that are useful in life like cooking, driving, snowboarding, diving, billiards, and business.

Thanks for showing love to Jin. He has gone through a lot and people do sometimes overlook him. I have three Jin songs to recommend. Two are covers (I Love You and Mom) and the other (Tonight) he wrote and I believe produced himself. He wrote it about his pet sugar gliders that passed away. Very sad! 😭😭
