They're not perfect (I broke a spring within the first year of ownership) but they're easily maintainable and I'm very happy with them.

Great guide tried the rest and settled on your setup. Found my foot pedals caused issues but actually don't need the foot pedals now. Great work. Anyone following the guide remember to flash your sticks to the newest version first and calibrate.

I'm excited too! We really need them to fix the shield penetration bug first though, because that kind of makes everything moot since all laser damage goes straight through shields and hits your hull (just like ballistic damage).

I imagine you mean you like to fly with the VKB? me too! I'm not sure I'm more accurate at aiming with them, but I'm definitely more accurate at positioning my ship where i want it. I just need to sort out my vertical strafe a bit better... twisting to vertical strafe never feels precise enough for me.

Man, had half my AUEC ships wiped in 3.20, then after I spent 20 mil AUEC to buy ships and components.. 3.20a wipes everything! Have now bought only the 'essentials' in case CIG decide to do another hotfix for the audio bug.

haha I feel you, supposedly they ran a script to return most of the stuff lost in 3.20a but that script was run yesterday so I think we should have those lost things back?

@@WingZeroType I just checked.. nope, unless its in waves. Oh you know about the stock missile glitch? Workaround is to fire all your stock missiles/torpedoes, then reload

Awesome, I recently got a set of VKBs and am still getting them fully set up and mapped. I noticed you said you have them plugged in a hub and connect only when playing SC, have you had any issues of them overloading the USB ports at all?

Nope, I haven't had any issues with that yet. The only things that are plugged into this USB hub are the two joysticks, and they just plug directly into a USB port.

Great minds think alike :-) My PC setup is EXACTLY the same except for the GPU (3080ti) and monitor Asus 32". I would love to have a button layout app like yours for setting up my Virpil hotas.. Is it part of the Gladiator suite or a 3rd party app?

It's not an app! It's just an image that I edited in GIMP (which is basically a free version of photoshop). I found the blank images somewhere online a long time ago, I can't remember where though. Hopefully you can find a similar blank image for virpils since they're a really popular stick!

Only a few times so far. The joysticks aren't super comfortable for my legs while they're plugged in (too close together for my legs, but perfect for my arms... so its a sacrifice i made). But because of this, I unplug the joysticks pretty much as soon as I'm done playing lol.

How do I download more RGB to make me a better pvper?

So it's really complicated actually. First of all, you wouldn't download a car, so you can't download more RGB. You have to earn it, through grit. Toughness and grit. And once someone worthy judges you to have sufficient OPness then you will automatically have more RGB

Now that erkul is going defunct, any alternate solutions for shopping with your Sheets recommendations?

I'm still using a combination of Erkul and finder.cstone.space/ I cross reference erkul with spviewer.eu for ship stats since spviewer seems to have some updated information as well, but now its a bit trickier to have a one-stop shop. If I find something better I'll let you know!

Probably a bit, right now there are a lot of bugs with shield holes that make results super inconsistent. I am likely going to wait for things to calm down a bit by 3.20.1 at the very least.

@@RelentlessBRahhh nice well welcome! Yeah it's been a bit rough recently thanks to the implementation of PES, but they are trying to get things more stable again.

@@RelentlessBR Hmm so for bounty hunting in 3.20 I use whatever I feel like up through MRTs and then for HRTs and onwards I will be focusing on higher dps ships. Once I'm at VHRTs in 3.20 I'll be using something like an Ares, Connie, 600i, or Vanguard, though the larger ships are a bit more challenging than in the past thanks to the shield holes this patch and the self-status not updating to show you when your ship is in a damaged state. For just flying around, I'll pick anything with a size 2 drive if I'm going from place to place, and if I'm doing something like bounty hunting i'll prefer something fast with an interior like an Avenger, a c8r pisces, or a 400i if I've grinded my way up to that.

Nice video i realy like your keybord. but why would you have a 4090 with those monitors? You should get a 4k 240hz main monitor to realy get max value out of it... or sell it if you are happy with those monitors and downgrade to a 4080 or even a 4070ti, and if you are mainly playingh star citizen you shuld probably upgrade your CPU and RAM to current gen, it will give you alot more fps rather then a 4090.

Thank you! Yeah I know SC can't take full advantage of the card with these monitors, but I don't want a 4k monitor just yet and I was able to get the card at low cost. I am able to get a lot of value out of it while creating youtube videos though (usage over 85% while editing)

I actually get best performance out of my 4k 144hz monitor running most games in 1440p upscaled. I also have a 24" 1080p 240hz, which is actually the choice of competition gamers. Maxing out your resolution isn't always the best choice.
