Star Citizen is an upcoming space trading and combat simulator video game for Microsoft Windows and Linux.
Star Citizen will consist of two main components: first-person space combat, first-person shooter elements and trading in a massively multiplayer persistent universe and customizable private servers,
and a branching single-player and drop-in co-operative multiplayer campaign (titled Squadron 42).

With that imposing stature, way of walking similar to a Velociraptor and that fierceness in all its design, the Vanduul will undoubtedly be one of the most intimidating enemies ever made. :o

I think the alien from Alien Isolation has them beat by a longshot. That's just taken out of context though. Maybe if I was trapped on a ship with a vanduul and didn't have any way to defend myself, they would seem just as scary.

what would be more exciting is if there were events for people who won tickets to play against live devs/pro's to claim their prize who were playing as Vanduul/defending that prize,,instanced and livecast for all :)

I have few if any plans to play SQ42, but anything that frees up the devs to focus on SC is progress and exciting.

looking like how the camera is 3rd person, this makes me think player controlled like you said developer controlled but i have a interesting thing seeing this i want a plasma lance as a in verse personal weapon. what a ultimate insult to the vanduul right.

Schweetttt. What they've showed makes me think we're still at least 2 years away from a playable version of SQ42, but this makes it appear to be coming along nicely. I think the 10 year mark (ie 2 years from now) will be when SC really blows up. By then we should have server meshing and icache fully implemented, medical, salvage, base building and bounty hunting done-ish, and quantum implemented, along with IMO at least 3-4 full systems. Plus, if SQ42 is finished/out by then hopefully they'll be dumping all those assets into the PU to flesh it out even further. Now to see if I can hold off from buying a Drake Corsair until then...

I actually dont want nerfed vanduuls... the fire rate of their weapon is obviously weak. And... the projectile travels slowly intentionally to give players a good chance to avoid them. But I do want vanduul to be dangerous opponents , so give them more firepower as well.
