I built this ship taking inspiration from the Star Eagle Ship and managed to make it with no ladders. For those wondering about how much it costs, it was about 900k credits.

What really connected me to the video was when he is showing us the ship he's proud of and right at the end he diddled with it to make it look better. In a similar vein, my modified Stroud Star Eagle is getting a 2x2 Hab right now.

Would love to see you drop a parts list where we can go shopping ahead of time then attempt to follow along. Love the ship though, the Star Eagle is my favorite ship and like many, the Cabot bridge is also my favorite, I’ve done about 3 variations of it but yours is definitely a better set up.

While I really love your ship, you make it really hard to copy your design. You don't hold your cursor on an item for us to screenshot each piece needed. You also go to fast to get what is needed for the ship. It took me ages to work out exactly what I would need to do this build. Please can you slow down in future and keep your pointer on each piece longer for us to take a screenshot. I had to pause so much in your video, just to work out what I'd need.

I rebuilt the Razorleaf as a 'Ladybug' that someone else put on KZfaq a couple of days ago. But now, I'm going to have to rebuild the darn thing again. This looks like such a cool ship man 🙂 I've got your beach house outpost video lined up next. Thanks for sharing this!

Cool design. My inner geek says that the larger a ship is, the bigger a target you are for bad guys, so I'd probably trim some fat and condense some of the elements, and drop an engine or two with less to haul around. The other thing is, I like the idea of making wings using the connector tunnels so there can be habs in there instead of just cowling pieces. Thanks for sharing. Got some nice inspiration. Finally, I want to say that your outpost looks amazing! Watching that video next.

One of my larger builds based off the S/E utilizes the tunnels so I can use habs as wings. I used three tunnels per side for easier navigation. It's a monster of a ship, 14k cargo (perked). As for being a bigger target, I can drop into the Key and obliterate everything without dropping below 80% shields. All particle weapon build with one set of turrets (two rear facing) just wrecks everything.

I used the Star Eagle for my template build because I was trying to get to the maximum crew capacity of 8. I ended up achieving that, but my ship is ugly beyond words. And it even cost me a good fortune too! I absolutely hate it but don't want to loose the 'Eagle. I like the big bridge that spreads the levels over two floors with stairs but I also wanted a bigger cargo capacity. I ended up with over 12,000 cargo but like I said, my final result is a pig monster!

80 mobility and 9.6k cargo.....amazing! Ive made cargo ships with 9k and the mobility is down to c.36. Well done - will definitely be making this ship.

After making this, the only adjustment I've made is to move the grav drive, shield and reactor into the centre of the ship (there's a hollow space perfect for all three if you move around some of the unnecessary bracers)

The Vanguard Bulwark Shield Generator is better than your shield and it's only a B class. Also check out the white Dwarf 3030, A class and just better.

Hi, I'm really hoping you read this. I've been trying to create your ship for 2 days now, but I'm having a lot of difficulty getting the right parts, because you don't hold your cursor on each piece so we can screenshot it for purchase. Some parts you didn't do at all and I've been trying to guess. I truly love this ship and want to create it. The star eagle was, in my mind, the most beautiful and manoeuvrable ship yet. I would love to own your version. I was wondering if you could update your video for those of us that would love to own it? I would really appreciate it. 😊

I have a few new builds coming up. I'll go slower. My biggest suggestion is to have an your own outpost with a big landing pad, so you can at least have all the common parts in one place. It will make your build so much easier.

The only problem with the C class SAL engine is that it's absolutely crazy expensive. It costs over 3 times more than any other engine and maxing out the 12 engine power with them costs over 300 thousand credits even with the 25% cost reduction with the rank 4 commerce skill. Sure they are the best the price is just insane. Super impressive build though.

Your ship looks awesome, great jobs. I am a little jealous. The ship builder is the one thing that I can't figure out about this game. Even adding one component, I spend 20 minutes trying to get it attached, and then another 20 minutes trying to find the other part that is now unattached. And, all I am trying to do is add some shielded cargo or an EMP for a mission. I can't wait for Mods so I can just skip the whole ship process. Building from Scratch?, somehow my weapons never seem to be assigned? And don't get me started on power requirements, landing gear weakness.

Easiest way to find an unattached module is to double click to highlight the entire ship, and drag it off the center point. The problematic part will be left behind. I struggled with this also.

Were you trying to save mass by not using the Assurance SG-1800 shield? It is a better shield that is actually cheaper, although heavier.

Yeah, I didn’t want the mobility to drop below 80. Although I could have lowered some cargo space for better shield. In retrospect, I don’t think I need so much cargo. lol

Made a new character, just want to focus on building my ship. Grind it out a little, unlock Flight 4 and Ship Building 4.. ALL THE PARTS I NEED ARE LOCKED BEHIND A GODDAM LEVEL CAP.

My design has been constrained by how much junks I acquired. And most of it came from enemy ships I acquired so I need bigger and bigger storages, bigger and bigger ships. I wish there is a warehouse system that I can store all these and accessible maybe at major cities or our outpost or at least gives the vendors more money than the paltry sums they have now.

I do really like your version of the Star Eagle. I haven't yet started fooling around with the ship building (even though I'm 400+ hrs into the game). So have you got a basic build guide on your channel? I noticed you have this ship and also the other in "Custom Ship Building & Customization", but I wouldn't mind seeing a basic ship being built from scratch including going to get parts from another supplier... you know just to clarify things in the video.

Yes, I have a scratch build but it's an early video and it's not step-by-step. I'll try to find time to do one. It's just figuring out how to make the video comprehensive but also not too long.

I really wish they would make the stairs at the back of the Cabot bridge into a separate piece, so you could make a ladderless layout with any cockpit... I mean, I love that bridge, but it would be nice to have other options. As it is now, that bridge is the only way to get a 2 floor layout without ladders.

The grav drive is the J-52 gamma, rector is Pinch 8z, the shield is the assurance sg 1600.

This makes me wish that there was a feature in the game for players to upload a "blueprint" to a shared server so that others could "buy" it and have a staryard actually make the ship. Or a least guide you.

A true "space ship" would most likely be just a simple block, like a Star Trek Borg ship. It would never land, it would have reusable shuttles, possibly with advanced "ram" jets, with replaceable JATO boosters.

Just visit the required vendors and cobble the parts together enough so it can fly. Then head to your outpost landing pad and start building.

How are you guys getting 6 engines? I cant go that high.

They are based of power level. They can be 2, 3 or 4... and can only add up to 12. The Sal 6630/6830's only require 2 power "ticks" each, so you can have 6 in total (=12) which gives the most thrust per power. They are the most powerful in game so far, 6x18000 thrust = 108000 total thrust.

I'm still struggling to build this ship. I find it so frustrating that you can't save a project as is, to go and get what you need from other companies. I've just had to erase hours of work to go and buy pieces I don't have. Either let us save a project or let us build in the one spot. I'm really ticked off about the building in this game. They've made what should be fun, a tiresome job, if you want to build your own ship. Not happy 😢 here.

yeah, it took me hours in the course of 2 days to build the ship. I went to 3 different shipyards back and forth. I usually add a cheap version of a part just to save the build.

My Star Eagle went through a similar journey. Amazing base to build on 🫡 kept upgrading it until it was so big I renamed it Albatraoz Star. 6.6k cargo, 2,6k shield and 69 mobility, mobility is perfect and stays that way 🥳😎

I apologise for being negative and supporters of this channel will probably tear me a new one. That's your prerogative IDC, to be honest. This tutorial doesn't go into enough detail there is no actual teardown of the ship just a glance over and this is the problem with this video. no offence to the chap who is showing us his amazing ship but I have absolutely no idea where most of the parts are from and that is so frustrating I haven't got a crystal ball. You don't explain which shipyards to go to which is also frustrating. you hover over parts too fast to pause and see what the part is from let alone the name of the part. No offence but the teardown could be a bit more explanatory. Again I apologise I don't mean any offence but for most of the parts I am utterly lost as to where they are from and/or what they are.

No offence taken. I do understand the frustration and I have taken that into account on my newer videos. As for the parts, you only need to go to 3 shipyards and then you can build it in New Atlantis port. I put the location in the description. I hope it helps.

@@NEON-Jai Sorry my bad I didn't look at the notes. The frustrating part is why the hell did Bethesda put the parts all in different locations you have to have fuel, engines, shield, Grave Drive and Reactor to be able to save the ship so you can move to locations to get the parts. I think this is the most complained about is the shipbuilding being in all locations instead of all under one roof. I am sweating with embarrassment because I didn't look in the notes. 🤣

@@hefeydd_ No worries my friend. They certainly didn't make it easier. I usually just lump all the parts together to save it and use my outpost landing pad to build it. At least the Large Landing Pad has all the common parts together. ;p
