This is a complete 100% walkthrough (longplay) of Star Fox 64 for the Nintendo 64 in full 1080p HD. The entire game is shown in this one single video. I play through the game three times and go through all three routes, all fifteen levels, and obtain every single medal in the game. The three routes include the Easy Route (Blue Route), the Medium Route (Yellow Route), and the Hard Route (Red Route).
To get all the medals, you must shoot down the required amount of enemies that the level you are playing demands and all of your teammates must survive. If just one teammate goes down, you lose the medal for the level you are currently playing and for the next level as well. Obtaining all the medals will unlock the expert mode for the game.
Now in some levels you will see that I don’t get the medal but remember, this this game has multiple routes so therefore it is impossible to see every level in the game in just one playthrough. Therefore, it is required that you play the game three times in order to play through every level and obtain every medal, get 100%, and unlock Expert mode. This also means I will be playing some levels more than once so if I do not get the medal in a certain level, I will get it on the next run of that level. There will be three levels that I will play through twice and one level that I will play through three times, however there may be some differences between the runs on those same levels. And if you do not want to deal with the repetitiveness of the video there will be annotations to skip repeated levels.
This is not a speedrun or a score-run. This is just a regular playthrough that showcases the game and how to obtain the medals. The playthroughs of the medium and hard routes are raw and unedited. However, the easy route is edited and contains two splices throughout.
Since this video is an entire game in a single video, there are time-stamps below so you can skip to a specific route or level. The scores required to obtain the medal are also listed next the all the levels. Most levels have two timestamps, the first timestamp is the intro cutscene, and the second timestamp jumps straight to the gameplay.
Easy Route (Blue):
Intro - 0:00
Prologue - 2:17
Level Select - 3:30
1) Corneria (150) - 3:44 or 5:02

Man, for 1997, this game was hella cinematic. Everything from the voice acting, to the epic music, boss encounters, and just the overall presentation and feel of the game, this game had such a presence to it. Part of what made me love it so much. Favorite line in this whole game: *"I CAN'T BELIEVE I LOST TO THIS SCUUUUM!!"*

Duncan Van Ooyen The voice acting also surprised me since many Japanese games around 1995-1997 (even into 1998) had bad dubs. Star Fox 64 sounds pretty good in comparison.

I remember reading that the only American voice Miyamoto and the Japanese team ended up not liking was the voice of Bill, but I remember them saying that they enjoyed playing the version of the game with Japanese Text but American Voices. I've never played the JPN version of the game, but I assume that is a build/ROM that has never been released to the public.

@@Cyrx686 The fact you can change your story route during gameplay dynamicly with diferent actions, fully voiced characters with perfect feeling to the story, there's even some roguelike aspects to it, since everytime you play it its gonna be different and there's things to look out for, such as crew member's HP and things like that. I still remember when i passed that mission in that planet where Bill shows up, "Accomplyshed" it, and then he showed up later, not doing much, but he was there Things like that don't just show up on your mind when you're making a game, its like features you do for love, or with great creativity

@@derago-dev None of those really sound new for the time. There were flight simulators with dynamic campaigns, Falcon 3.0 came out in 1991. The arching story was done in Wing Commander for example in 1990. The crew management was done in B17 Flying Fortress in 1992. It's may be a fine game but it was totally of its time.

Honestly, many of the phrases said by the characters within Star Fox 64 still echo in my mind today. The voice acting was iconic. Pigma's "that reward's as good as mine!!!" was one of my favorite. I used to really enjoy the challenge of fighting against Starwolf and his team when I played this as a kid in the late 90s. That and the feeling of both horrid and relief of fighting and defeating Andros at the end.

@@CellarDoorx06 Not to be a dick, but "Mission Accomplished" is when you complete a level _and_ meet the requirements to advance to a harder route. Well, it makes since. 2 decades ago the concept of 3D games was brand new. We had no expectations because our minds were blown to a whole new concept of gaming. Despite being a hard level, the bioweapon, Bacoon, was the easiest bioweapon of the three bioweapons. Titania is an easy level, but its boss, Goras, is the hardest bioweapon, if you didn't have a guide, you're NEVER beating Goras, period!

wow.....i haven't laid eyes on this game in probably 20 years. so many memories and fun had. You never know exactly when you will play a game for the last time....or the sadder version...there will be a single time where you and your buddies play video games for the last time together and you won't know it.

I waited all day for this game to be delivered to video warehouse, waited for the staff to process it, and was the first person to rent it from that store when this came out. I rented it so many times before I actually bought it using saved up lunch money. This is one of my favorite video games of all time. I look forward to downloading it on the switch!

I feel like I just took a gut shot after it hit me this was almost 25 years ago... God the mid to late 90s were so fun. One of my folks pointed out how we would be outside all day doing whatever NOT connected to phones and still found time for n64 but didn't over take our world. Okay someone needs to get on the time machine gimmick because I'm missing the 90s bad now😂😂

You know, I've seen other videos of people playing this, and right off the bat, you are the only person other than me that I've ever seen beat the easy corneria boss before the fight begins by shooting off his leg so you can kill him in less than ten seconds. that alone tells me you know what you're doing, and you're getting a like just for that
