To be honest she left the way she wanted to. I think her speech was very respectful and straight to the point, she knew there was leaks coming from the show, constant rumours in the press and she finally snapped and just was honest. It spoke volumes on the programme the next day when Barbara spoke so badly of Star and threw her under the bus.

She knew they wasn’t playing fair behind the scenes. At the time someone from the show was leaking stories to the tabloids about her being “difficult to work with” and being a diva. She controlled the narrative surrounding her contract not being renewed and gagged them.

I remember watching this live and thinking Star would announce a pregnancy and being bummed to discover she wasn't coming back next season. I was looking forward to seeing her spar with Rosie, but this finale right here was epic.

Barbra was so weird… You claim you wanted her to leave the way she wanted, then she did it in a respectful way… theeeennnn later you bring her back to say oh we didn’t renew your contract… she was an old weirdo…. Sorry. Team Walters. There were reasons Jones wasn’t working and she had two days to go. She can do what she wants. It’s not my place to say otherwise but it foolish and disrespectful in my opinion. No one would know who this woman is if Walters hadn’t have put at this table.
