Having never seen any footage of this hack, and having never played any other hack, I thought I might just get this one and see if I can play it through with no save states or anything. Spent a couple of hours and got no stars. Now I watch this and realise I didn't even get a quarter of the way to the first star. And there are over 150 stars???

+Thomas Reichert same here so I started playing the easier game. this is my progress (you see on my channel lol) I do use save states sometime though. Edit: Not advertising hehe. also its not any other game its This romhack but just easier and a diffrent overworld. still really hard and has good difficulty, but in a hard game like this I think this is the best ive done.

I'm going to need to side with +Agyroth productions for this one. I don't TAS myself, but I have also noticed a couple of discrepancies in some similar routes.Don't get us too wrong though. he does know some of his stuff. he never fails to use first frame wall-jumps or dive-get-up on the first frame either. I enjoy this TAS myself, quite a lot, but Agyroth is right

the ROM's creator utilizes game features in a sadistic, but clever way. by design of these levels, mario's health isn't design to punish the player, rather to be used sparingly in puzzles. notice how some of the parts with lava such as 43:30, (the TAS does a marvelous job navigating this part, of course) there's just enough coins to refill mario's health as he hops around the pads, and since lava does 3 damage, red coins only fill 2. therefore the player has to economize their health meter in such a careful way to fulfill the 8 coin star.

jesus i seen so many mario 64 hacks using the dang Stone Tower Temple From Majora's Mask music it just different but good at the same time Stone Tower Temple was a really good one for 64 and 3ds i like the 3ds version :Spoiler Alert dont read message for 3ds majora's mask boss battle Stone Tower Temple Boss: i like how you kill one boss with arrows and get the gaint mask from there and be like the fucken hulk smashing the boss like a rampaging gaint link hulk mix grabbing by its tails spinning the 2nd twinmold boss or holding the 2nd twinmold neck and try sufficating them by squeezing its neck
