@tommytwotacos810628 күн бұрын
I've been wondering about the term "botch job" lately. It sounds really close to an older expression, a "bodge job", which has a similar definition, but it isn't quite the same thing. I'm wondering, since "botched" is a real word on its own, and "bodge job" predates "botched job" by at least a few decades, do we that think that "botch job" is just a derivation of "bodge job"? Did someone not know what "bodge" was when they heard someone call something a "bodge job", and then seeing that the job looked "botched" did they determine it must've been what the speaker intended to say, this created a derivation? I would love to hear your thoughts on this, fellas?

Wait until the AI developers come up with the ability to run whole existing episodes through a ‘filter’ to convert them to these retro versions!!!
@tommytwotacos810628 күн бұрын
At that point, they'll be able to make entire new episodes completely with AI. Once that starts, they'll refine it and hone it until it can make new episodes where we can't tell the difference between the new ones and the old ones. THEN we'll finally get season 8 of TNG, a fixed version of Generations, and the final seasons of Enterprise. Well, I guess that's as good of a reason as any not to kill myself for a little while longer.
