The only thing missing is James Doohan's voice. Reflecting his start as an actor in radio dramas, James Doohan voiced nearly every male character besides Kirk, Spock, McCoy, and Uhura. @@SynthwavelLover why Gene Roddenberry didn't consider TAS canon in his lifetime I will never know or understand. Paramount was wise to overrule him on that. circa 2002, long after his passing. He did make some good calls though. Some wanted Saavik to betray Spock in The Undiscovered Country. When fans found out they were vehemently against that and so was Gene Roddenberry himself and decided on making a new character to do that. Namely Valeris.

I think I've lost count of how many subtle touches you included, right down to characters expressing emotions by simply moving their eyes left or right, or "Running means pushing one elbow and forearm forward first." The Kzin at Ops is a fricking masterstroke, and the classic Filmation music has always been some of the best in Trek canon, it fits PERFECTLY here. This is absolutely everything and whoever was nutty enough to come up with it and put in the time and effort to make it happen deserves lifelong free access to a holosuite. MAKE IT SO.

I loved the TAS music, but... it just needed a couple more variations: it became a bit repetitive after a while, though then again I did bing the whole thing on Netflix. Perfect: The flesh colored eyes to save money by not having the cel painters do extra work adding white; The audio track, including having Worf in particular sound like he recorded his lines in a bathroom (Which Shatner did for the original animated series); the blank stares and for-no-reason-at-all glances to the right. Ooooh! Dramatic; the static shots of communication equipment, thus saving time on lip-syncing; and the oversimplification of elaborate costumes, so the Borg's appendages like the arm are shortened and look like painted toilet paper rolls. I have been a Star Trek Fan since 1969 (watching reruns at 7 years old)...when the animated series came out on Saturday mornings when I was 12, I was excited..it was exactly like the old Star Trek...the voices, characters, everything...I now own the limited edition set of the animated series in a designed plastic capsule...This Next Generation version (using voices from an actual episode) is a identical to the animation of Filmation..the style, movement of characters, the music, and the artwork!!! I wish they would make more Star Trek TNG in this style with new original stories...I would watch every episode!!!
