My AT-AT's have left the confines of Autodesk Maya, traversing the vast expanse of their local PC hard drives to find a new home in Unreal Engine. Just checking in on them to see how they're doing.
Software:
Maya
Unreal Engine 5.3
DaVinci Resolve 18.6
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Illustrator
Rig:
Mine, I built it in Maya.
Made entirely by Jeremy Cummins using Unreal Engine 5.3, Autodesk Maya and DaVinci Resolve 18.6 . It took about two months not including the rig creation.

It's so rare to see the wild AT-AT in it's natural habitat. Untouched by man's hand. Now, if only we could capture the birth of these majestic creatures, that would be something.

As terrible as The Last Jedi was, it had one of my all-time favorite cinema moments. The AT-ATs at sundown, capturing its symbolism. Then that gets promptly crapped on with the ridiculous barrage at a force-ghost who has selective-corporealism; much to the dismay of his man-baby nephew.

I kind of like this idea. Early concepts of the AT-ATs was that an organic brain from a herd animal was integrated into the electronic control complex that drove the body and legs. I liked the scenes where the "Wild" AT-ATs were acting like large herbivores.

As a person from outside the animation community, I am purely astonished by the possibilities of Unreal Engine nowadays. A talented person can create worlds and build narration which is visually on par with movies. If I just recall stop motion Lego SW clips done cleverly by my son... (though I believe the fun factor is comparable as proportional to the involvement and lore love, not technical skills) :) Thanks for your great work!

What a joy to watch. I’ll be honest, at first I thought this was to be another flashy starwars short but you got me… You took a machine of death and tricked me into empathising with an ATAT like I would a herds of elephants during a documentary. That aside, the lighting, weather, particles and above all else the cinematography were just stunning. Bravo sir, as many have said before. We will watch your career with great interest. 👏
