The Dauntless from Rogue One is an Imperial I Star Destroyer - I wonder if the Empire refitted it by the time of Battlefront II or whether its a different ship. We saw a bunch of refitted Imp I's in RotJ, so it's definitely possible.

You did forget an Easter Egg. In the prologue, while you're playing as the Droid going through the vents, you can hear soldiers commending Corona Squadron for taking down an AT-AT Walker at the Battle of Hoth and for discovering the existence of a second Death Star. You can find more about Corona Squadron in the book "Lost Stars" which I totally recommend reading.

You forgot to mention in the Maz section; if you listen long enough, you can hear what really, REALLY sounds like Hondo making a deal with someone. And a painting of him sits in the castle.

To be honest, I did like the connections, but I felt like they were a bit shallow. Like the references were there, but they were more lines of dialogue or little easter eggs than actual elements of the story -- besides for the Han Solo mission, the game didn't really explore any well-established new canon ideas. I was frustrated, because besides for little chuckles, I didn't feel like the game rewarded all the reading I've done.

The amount of dedication put into this game makes me really sad it is covered in controversy. Hopefully games get into a better state someday

When Iden talks crap about the cloud cars I assumed it was a nod to the cloud cars in the previous Battlefront (2004 and 2015 ) games, which on launch and even till this day was the worst fighter in the series with terrible weapons and controls.

Only didn't like two things about the campaign: 1. Length 2. The defection This game was supposed to the Empire's side of the story, instead we got a cookie-cutter turncoat story which I honestly found a bit out of character. Inferno Squad defended the creation and destruction of TWO planet-killing weapons then all of sudden when Vardos is the target, the Empire is bad? "Hope won't save the Rebellion!" remember? Conviction like that doesn't just change. This is like the whole Martha thing all over again: really, really bad execution of a "plot twist".

That Naboo EMP looks a lot like the electro-proton bomb from the Clone Wars episode "Zillo Beast". "As someone that reads every story that comes out, BFII was a very rewarding experience", but it seems like much of the story's depth is dependent on knowing all the other works. Might casual fans be turned off by the story's shallowness at face value?

I thought the the ‘luck’ Easter egg was more a reference to Obi Wan when he told Han Solo ‘In my experience there’s no such thing as luck’

You forgot the reference to Inferno Squad when they were flying through the Second Death Star’s debris field. “Someone once told me that Rebellions are built on hate. I’ve never forgotten that.” Direct reference to the leader of the remaining Partisans, the Dreamers.

I must say, from all the marketing and everything I read, I wasn't expect Iden and Del to defect. Then we went to Vardos....

During the Kylo Ren part on Endor, Iden says,"Seyn Marana gave her life...." which is a reference to the fourth member of the Inferno Squad

I think they mention Rax earlier? Can’t remember what mission. Think its General Distress - someone describes a new Imperial leader, really extreme by the name of Rax and Han professes not to know him.

Inside the cantina, there was a merchant that mentions something about having old treasures. One of which was ancient sith masks. Could this possibly be a nod to Kylo and maybe Revan?

The Resistance X-wings have astromech slots that are universal for either BB units, or Astromechs. I wonder of Iden's is a sort of prototype?

Possibly with the claim that "stormtroopers only land a shot 77% of the time", may be a reference to 1977, the year episode IV was initially released.

As continuity, this story fits well, but in-game it's pretty darn short and rushed. I'd have enjoyed most of the story elements more if they actually put more depths into Iden and Del's defection. Would've also loved if there was a campaign mission within the wookie Liberation.

Iden also mentions that someone once told her that rebellions are founded on hate which was directly from an awesome scene in Inferno Squad.

The Raider class corvette appeared in the Thrawn Novel prior to this game’s campaign in canon. Also you missed the portrait of Hondo Onaka in Maz’s castle which you can see in one of the rooms. With the weird window slits.

I really liked the chatter and references on Takodanna, I was glad that you took the time to clear them up individually.

About the ion pulse defense on Naboo. Sure it limits enemy casualties but I thought its main purpose is that since it was built during the clone wars like they said, to stop another invasion from happening, I thought its initial purpose was to disable battledroids and seperatist forces

On the Takodana mossoon, while in the basement of Maz'd castle, you can hear the voice of a weequay that sounds oddly familiar.

Idk I still think Rey is their daughter. They were pretty deliberate in mentioning Del being a father and specifically having a daughter. I think it gives more significance to the characters otherwise why would we be following them? What better than an entire game to get to know her parents. Daisy Ridley said that she knows who Rey's parents are, but that she doesn't think they have a major roll in the new trilogy. Idk, the more I look at it the more it makes sense to me.

You missed my favorite reference to the Inferno Squad book! In the final mission where you play as Kylo Ren, if you let the dialogue continue after you hear Del toast Admiral Versio, you can hear Iden mention Seyn’s sacrifice.

As good as the story was it felt rushed and unfinished

I loved the campaign. I was worried it was gonna be halfassed but was pleasantly surprised. I also liked getting all the Easter eggs from the various books I’ve read. I didn’t catch the one about Thane till tonight when I was replaying that mission to get the collectibles. That one made me happy. What a good book.

On Takodana, Han's contact says he got his info about Kashyyyk from a man named Rax

Okay, I wanna help people but this is it. There are a lot of spoilers So first of this, Iden and Del get married and have a kid named Zay. While Del was on the ship getting tortured by Kylo, Kylo asks for him to be wasted as Hask goes and rambles on about how Del let him down, and then proceeds to blow his brains out. Then Iden and Zay go on a mission with Shriv to find Del and "catch up" you could say. Eventually ( I can't remember who I think it was Shriv ) goes and finds Del but he is buried in the sand. They are on a ship ( Can't remember ) when they are fighting Hask, Hask has Zay in her grasp as he points a gun to her head. Iden throws her gun inside and off the bridge. Then random dialog later and Zay goes full BEAST MODE and turns then tables, but while Zay is fighting for the gun she accidently shoots Iden, then the gun gets thrown over to Iden as YOU the PLAYER have to pick up your controller because you went to go and get yourself so salami to eat, you have to shoot Hask, and he gets thrown over the edge, Iden and Zay go find the control panel place as Shriv found them a way out. While they get to the control place Iden falls down and leans up against a control panel and she goes on about how she fought for the place and she loved Zay and Del. Then she dies. Zay finds a way out with a droid, and you get out and live your life as Zay to fight the galaxy and then that's the end. I had fun playing the Main Story and the Ressurection.

If you wait in the room where the memories go over the toast to Admiral Versio as seen in the Inferno Squad book, they also mention a few other things if you wait around for longer. Seyn Marana is mentioned directly by name.

I've two more Easter eggs: 1) After Iden became rebel the IG-10 received a new paint job. 2) The Nebula-B frigate engulfed in flames and falling to the Star Destroyers (15:25) reminds me of a Nebula-B frigate engulfed in flames and falling to a clone facility on Kamino in Star Wars: Force Unleashed 2

I caught most of these myself whilst playing but I completely missed the reference to Thane Kyrell during the Battle of Jakku, which sucks as I was trying really hard to look/listen for any reference to him. Glad they did include one after all!

The electromagnetic pulse at 7:37 may be a reference to Star Wars the Clone Wars "Duel of the Droids" as that is where it makes it's first appearance, and is shown throughout the series.

Really good campaign. But why was it so short. And why the massive jump, I wanted to see how the empire became the first order, and they totally skipped over it. Literally. I know they are adding more but it’s a bit disappointing for now.
