It takes 18 months from design to final figure so this came out right on time. The first release was already tooled and came out to capitalize on the newness of the character appearing right before it released. Also it looks just like a specific version of the comic version which was exactly what it was marketed as so no Hasbro wasnt bring Hasbro. It was the only fig you were physically able to get given this accurate version was a year and a half away.

Robo, I really appreciate you taking the time to really break everything down and (hopefully) quiet the complainers. I don't think you needed to, though, because inevitably some people will always complain no matter what. But at least you tried to explain everything rationally and objectively. I got this Santo in the other day, and I agree-he's awesome!

Thanks for the thorough and personable review. I wasn’t sure if I’d add Krrsantan to my (already too large) Black Series collection. But now I’m feeling the need to get it. In other words, I am grateful my wife-probably not so much.

In canon Boba is 6foot as well as every clone . So Temura being 5’9 next to Kersantan in the show probably makes him look bigger

I wonder if an extender could be added into the torso without the arms and legs looking out of proportion? Still, the figure looks amazing and I'm really hoping that now we'll get some episode 3 wookiees and Snoova (and I certainly wouldn't pass on Chewie's family, either!).

Looks great, I’m going to have to pick this one up! I thought, when you tossed the figure and said”it’s a toy,” I thought you were going to pick it up and say, “ I’m sorry, Uncle Robo didn’t mean that,” then give that look to the camera.

A Fwoosh review on my birthday, heck yeah! This figure looks really nice but for now it's on the backburner for me in terms of potential pickups. I'm planning a major collection shift, selling off some stuff over the next month or so, after which I should have more money and space, that'll be when I decide to bite the bullet on this one or not.

I like this one and will be picking it up. The problem people always have is their perception is what they think reality is. Robo you did the actors sizes and figures match people can just chill or not yet the figure very simple.

I’m with ya Robo. Pulse charged me for my BoBF BK and will be here next week ish. I still love the repaint of Chewie with the sweet head they did in comic line. Width isn’t that big a deal for me as I see Wookiees as Chimpanzee strong, lanky and stronger than they look, Sasquatch. I know BK was seasoned by the gladiator pit. To some that makes him bulk up like a roid user. To me it just makes him more cunning and ferocious. This figure looks great! I kind of see BK as the smaller Wookiee with a big ole chip. He fights like he is larger. Still a great figure!

Got mine yesterday. No complaints at all! It's a beautifully sculpted figure, well worth the price. He's temporarily posed on my desk right now body slamming the WWE Muhammed Ali figure I got a couple weeks ago. The Champ is the Greatest but no match for an enraged Wookie.

I completely understand having more than one version of a character in figure form. In my case I get Figuarts/Mafex for the quality and accessories and Hasbro for actually fidgeting with the figure. Like I LOVE my figuarts ROTJ Luke, but I just got the ROTJ 40th Hasbro Luke and have handled it more in the past few days than I have my Figuarts, which I have had for years.

Finally preordered him today. I thought he was sold out. But the comic shop manager told me he just put up 4 more. I don’t mind the articulation he is kinda made just to stand on the shelf holding the gun. Not much reason to pose him much

This year is weird for "if these two figures fused, it'd be perfect." In this case, if we had this build with the height of the first Black Krrsantan, it'd be perfect. Because even in terms of comics, he's still a huge dude 99% of the time, so the first one isn't really accurate unless you *really* go looking for panels where he's off-model if anything. Still, this one will do. I'm going to stand him next to my Doctor Aphra and be happy, he's not going anywhere near a Chewbacca anyway.

Idk why Robo is so fond of the comic figure being close to like 2 appearances when the iconic and nomal one is huge muscular wookie, but yeah, the height coud've been improved easily

There's nothing to improve with the height. Like I said, that's the height in the show, and this Krrsantan is from the show.

@@TheFwoosh I meant more for a catch all, leaning towards comic BK, the height of the first one with the build of this one is more accurate. His height got reduced for the show, so it's fine in that sense, but we never did get a proper comic BK.

They body could be reused for Tarfful but Tarfful was same height as Chewbacca. There is a photo online from a photoshoot.

You missed the button on the back for the "Wookie Smash" action feature. LOL Seriously, I'm fine with the size of this figure compared to the rest of the line. And the minor paint quibbles I can fix (the brown on the belt is going to bug me for sure). Is it a deluxe? eh maybe? The SDCC Vintage Collection figure came with a bunch of accessories that this one could have benefited from. Separate knuckle-duster hands, more weapons, that fruit thing he's holding in the screenshot you used. I get its an all new sculpt but so are the majority of Black Series figures. But hey its either action figures or hookers and blow and I can legally resell action figures so...

Personally i really wanted a closed mouth, so i prefer the Vintage Collection version, but i don't collect that scale anymore. I also think it was foolish of Hasbro to produce the comic version first. When i saw this big fellow on TV i immediately wanted what i saw in a 6" figure. Frustrating all around! Oh well, that's just me, i'm happy for those who like it.

I remember back in the day. I believe it was around the time of Episode 3. George Lucas had said something about Chewie was supposed to be small for a wookiee. He'd had the idea for the ROTJ forest battle to be Wookiees instead of Ewoks. But it was easier to use little people or children. Then find enough people as tall or taller then Peter Mayhew to be Wookiees. So when he did Episode 3 he had the effects to be able to make Wookiees in abundance that were larger than Chewie. So he could finally have a large scale battle. It may have been on a commentary track, a interview, or another making of feature that he divulged this. I don't remember which though.

the actor may be 6'7" but there's an easy couple of inches of wookiee hair on top of his head, so 6'9" is probably accurate

I think this figure is sick but I can’t lie the height is a let down for me personally, in my head I’ve always looked at krssantan as a much bigger and broader Wookiee than chewie and I’m pretty sure while the actor is 6”7 the character is listed as over 7 feet tall

I’m I the only one that’s still annoyed that ML and BS have the cheapest no frills tissue paper twisted closed while GI Joe has custom printed factory sealed baggies and cardboard accessory “chests”. Even the box art is better with Joes. We already get less for our money with Marvel and SW but they can’t even be on par with the lame windowless packaging?

Hasbro prices are a little higher, but I feel like the haters miss that Hasbro also does all the testing to ensure their figures meet standards in the US to be toys for kids and they are way more durable than a lot of adult collector figures which are sometimes pretty fragile

I said it in th past and will say it again, defending the old krrsantan by "is accurate to like 2 comic issues" is not a proper argument when hasbro puts art of the other more iconic comic appearance in the box itself, other than that, this one looks cool, sad that the articulation is not the strongest point but as you mentioned, the sculpt is the culprit but also they could've compensated that with more accessories or an angry face

It's a fantastic figure but 33 bucks for a six inch Hasbro with one accessory is asinine. This is why I've scaled back buying Hasbro figures. So I can justify their exorbitant prices for figures that I really do want.
