she sounded so mad....its better than luke just killing him....right?...thats cliche and makes no sense with the character or themes...the point of the scene is the vader moment willing to get hurt while on fumes for his son throwing away years of pain mistakes and hard work love brought him to the light ....yes girl its called storytelling it doesn't matter that palps died in such a pathetic way..he was cocky he thought he could see the future that luke would go dark and join...luke changed the vision he had through courage and the darkside of the force thus clouded palps so he got mad with anger fear so he tried to kill him but didn't realize until it was too late that vader would stop him he tried to shock vader but not enough as he was willing to die to finish the job the way only he could since its his story

It still blows my mind that, to Luke, the Emperor wasn't some corrupt political leader (which is what the Rebellion saw him as), he was the living representation of the evil that had corrupted his father. Everyone eventually has to deal with the faults of their parents, and it's hard for most people to overcome those faults, much less overcome them AND save your parent from them. Also the Rancor keeper's name is Malakili.

its hard to understand but the darkside of the force basically makes you fall under palps spell if he really needs you to it feels like just low key without ever really telling us this he can influence you to his side and luke being able to be be weak willed and fall for it due to him not having fear in his heart and not being a slave to his emotions like his father is how he did it and convinced his dad to rescue him...anakin at that very moment escaped the evil grasp too thanks to his son...this is clearly lost on many idiots like these females who think luke should just give into anger and kill them both..they don't get how palps or the dakside works...you lose it at that moment you lose yourself
@DravicPL
@DravicPL 4 жыл бұрын
@@TheGreater-ScopeVillain You're completely wrong. The Emperor is not the source of evil. He's a power-thirsty politician and a Sith Lord. That's it. I hate Disney for ruining Star Wars to most people who don't understand that none of the Disney BS makes any sense if we think from the point of George Lucas's vision. Emperor died permanently in Episode 6. He doesn't "embody all the Sith that came before him". That's just dumb hate-fiction from hack Disney writers who don't like Star Wars anyway.

Last detail...if you look at the outfit of Luke Skywalker, in each movie it change for a darker color, from white in New Hope, to gray in Empire, to black in Jedi, showing a progression in character...However, in the end, you can clearly see under his black clothes, white clothes, meaning outside look didn't match what he really is inside...It's kinda the same in The Last Jedi, going from lighter color, to a darker when he is confronted by Rey and Chewbacca, Darker before Rey go, to a lighter when he confront Kylo...The use of lighting is also important in this movie...the scene when Darth Vader is taunting Luke about his sister, you see Luke's face is in both light and darkness, showing the real conflict...Lots of fun detail this way !

In a behind the scenes video, one of the SF workers talked about how they needed more trees for the models shots of Endor. They went and found a hobby store that had model train scale trees, but they didn't have the budget to buy what they needed. They asked if they could 'rent' them and return them after the movie. The store agreed and got a deposit. When they set off the generator explosion, it was WAY bigger than they meant it to be, scorching all of the trees they got. They did not get their deposit back.

@Jonsin 1459 the clone wars is actually some of, if not, the best SW content out there, it starts out pretty kiddy but really does a good job of fleshing out a lot of the characters and themes that rung kinda hollow in the prequels. It’s also set up a lot of the stuff that’s going on in the mandalorian seeing as the creator of TCW and Rebels is helping write that show too now. Overall SW has a universal appeal to everyone because it’s meant to have something for kids and adults. You should never deny yourself the enjoyment of something just because it’s for kids, I think great writing can communicate it’s message on all levels and it takes a skilled hand to make big stories and themes digestible for kids. I’m just saying you should give something a proper go before shooting it down, you don’t know what you could be missing out on!

Qui-Gon didn’t disappear because he was the first Jedi to re-discover how to use the Cosmic Force to commune with the living as a Force Ghost. The ability had been lost to the Jedi for a long time. Qui Gon taught Yoda how to prepare himself for the transition of death, and Yoda taught Obi-Wan (this is hinted at the end of Ep. 3 and explained in detail in The Clone Wars). That’s why Yoda and Obi Wan disappear, but Qui Gon doesn’t.

thats not entirely accurate. its not the ability to use the cosmic force to commune with the living as a force ghost. the clone wars explain it that there are these force priestesses that make you under go a journey if you pass it they grant you the power to retain your individuality in the force. since they can retain there individuality when they become one with the force that means force ghost. its not them using the cosmic force to communicate with the land of the living its just that these women grant the jedi the power to become a force ghost

Karthig1987 actually, once in the movies, two or three times in Dark Empire part 1, one more time in part 2, and almost another in part 3. Though, in Dark Empire part 1, the Emperor claimed that Endor was not his first death, just the most recent.
@Tyrantofthewind
@Tyrantofthewind 4 жыл бұрын
"To be fair". No, not really. The Emperor is revived for one series (Dark Empire). The rationale for his revival is that he had been transferring his spirit to other clone bodies as the Dark Side was eating them away and lowering his life span (the entire process is actually explained in Dark Empire, unlike the ST). In that series - the Emperor's first AND final campaign in the EU (Operation Shadow Hand) - sees his remaining clone bodies sabotaged and/or destroyed outright and he is defeated - and does not return again. While several of his bodies are destroyed within that series, we are told from the beginning about this process, and thus know that he is not really dead until his final defeat at the conclusion. That is, he only actually "dies" once in the books. It should be noted that each clone death costs Palpatine significantly, with his "death" at Endor nearly driving him insane and losing him his Empire, his second clone death stopping his absolute and complete victory 6 years after Endor, and his third being his actual death that results in the complete collapse of his campaign. Again, his only real death is his final one because all previous deaths we knew he still had options to survive. We are explicitly told all such options are gone by the time of his final death and he does not return again.
@alucard624
@alucard624 4 жыл бұрын
@@Tyrantofthewind His final death in the EU was pretty stupid though. A cyborg Jedi sacrifices his life so Palpatine's spirit can't jump into baby Anakin Solo? I'm not saying what The Rise of Skywalker did was better, but it was still stupid.

There is a deleted scene in the beginning of the movie where Luke goes back to Ben's house and builds the lightsaber from parts and instructions he finds there. It was actually a Jedi test, because the instructions were flawed and any saber made with them would explode. Only a Jedi trainee would feel the correct way to assemble the saber from instinct instead of following the plans.

If you watch The Clone Wars make sure you watch it in the chronological order. The story will make the most sense that way and it's easier to follow the journey of certain characters. There are also some episodes, especially in the earlier seasons, that you can skip if you want.

MeanMrMustard1 I think you contradicted yourself. I don’t think it was a mistake either. It was done on purpose, but I’m just not sure why they did it that way. If they watched in release order they would also have to watch episodes that set up plots that have already been resolved in earlier episodes. Watching the show in chronological order can only make the story better, so there isn’t any reason to not watch it that way.
