I'm getting the impression they're following the KOTOR rules of Jedi saber colors: blue for guardians, green for consulars, yellow for sentinels.

Idk - High Republic culture allowed Jedi to be looser in their emotions, so lightsabers are more reflective of one's individuality. This included the hilt designs, with recent comics explaining the transition to more ubiquitous prequel-era saber looks.

For anyone not in the know, this show is set during the High Republic, a golden age for both the Republic and the Jedi. The works in that era so far have been in a few different time periods (up to 382 BBY), but this show is set to take place 132 BBY, a period that hasn't been explored in any detail yet.

Additionally, the green-skinned Jedi is Vernestra Rwoh, currently the only original High Republic Jedi from the books to crossover into live-action. A few book characters recently appeared on the Young Jedi cartoon though.

One thing ive not heard anyone mention is that we may get a glimpse further into the high republic than the year this is based.. In the clip at 1:38 Lee Jung-jae's character has cleaner, shorter hair cut. Whereas in what im guessing is the "current day" he has the longer, less taken care of hair style.

Agreed. Just one thing - Lee is his family name. Jung-Jae is his first name. I know it's hard to know which is which because ppl swap around the order. Example, sometimes, they'll write Jung-Jae Lee and sometimes they'll write it Lee Jung-Jae 😊

I'm not sure why Disney decided to go contemporary in the way their characters in Star Wars dressed and wear their hairstyles. It's a bit immersion breaking for me, it's supposed to take place in a faraway galaxy. So I'm ok with the afros, mullets and neck-beards we saw in for example Rogue One, but also the animation series Rebels. Because that's tying in with canon. But having actors appear in series as if they dressed themselves from their own wardrobe at home. Nah, not sure how I feel about that.

I could see Carrie Ann Moss’s character being a Sith. Like maybe she has dark side tendencies but poses as a Jedi so no one suspects her. She looks to be very powerful. Also we don’t see her bust out a lightsaber. Maybe because it’s Red??? 🤔 That would be a great wtf moment. I also like the incorporation of Burryaga and Vernestra in there as older Jedi, it shows the time jump from the High Republic books to the pre Phantom era. I have been waiting for this for so long and now it’s almost here! I’m so Ready!!!

Personally I'm not excited in the slightest. I've made Mistakes getting hyped up for shows like Ahsoka and Obi Wan and they turned out Awful. Same goes for Mandalorian Season 3 and parts of Book of Boba Fett. Nothing really excites me in this trailer. I don't know I just don't want to be disappointed again in a new Star Wars project.

I won't watch this. This trend among modern feminists where they imbue every show or movie with misandry, which has become a problem for fantasy and sci-fi fans like me. What's worse is that if we comment on it, we're often called misogynists. This needs to stop. It's also extremely hypocritical and devious of them. They've become the very thing they hated in men. Stories used to have great women and men as characters, but now we see an all-woman casting and a repeating theme of demeaning men. True equality would equally represent both males and females, not just one or the other. This is creating more cultural problems than it's solving. As a published author, I think Hollywood needs to stop lazily shoving their hypocritical political beliefs into their productions. It breaks the immersion and creates more division and culture wars. Good writers with skill and care can create uplifting stories that have great plots, world-building, and character development. This is just fan fiction with surface-level writing that uses virtue signaling to attack anyone who critiques it.
