Here`s my take on the Jedi order (Prequels one I mean): They`re obviously the good guys. But they`re pretty flawed good guys.

Yeah, it isn’t that the Order itself is a bad entity, but the values and beliefs had been forsaken for politics. Essentially, they were strong and good, but blinded by decadence and apathy.

My take is the prequels had no good guys overall and that was the point the republic was corrupt and taxed the outer rim without properly representing them or providing for the worlds there the jedi were attack dogs of a corrupt republic acting as generals in a war they shouldn’t have fought in The seperatists alliance was led by the same greedy corperations and politicians that led to corruption in the republic and those same politicians and buisnessmen and talking heads we’re literally led by a sith lord who was led by another sith lord. The clones are a slave army made for the republic by another company at the behest of a sith lord Anakin was a character who wanted to do the right thing and keep the people he loved safe but had no propper support system due to being raisednin a cult that told him that was wrong Padme was an Idealist who believed democracy could work and that change for the republic could be enacted from within the republic in the wake of greed, corruption, war and a wannabe autocrat, the death of padme is the symbolic death of democracy Anakin, padme and obi wan are the only “good guys” in the prequels and you could Honestly argue obi wan worked to upheld a corrupt system and by the end of episode 2 the republic was already the empire in all but name

@@fives5555arc Exactly. While I'd say a few more things other than politics also played a role, but their political relations with the Republic were the most major factor. They meant to do good, but were blinded by a lot of things, like political alignment with the Republic, apathatic attitude, distrust in Anakin, banning of almost any relationship and emotional attachment other than casual friendship or brotherhood/sisterhood, being too passive (especially about the return of the sith), too stubborn to challenge, question or bring change to the code and the Arrogance that, as Yoda said, was starting to become a common flaw in both younger and older Jedi with time

No, both canon and legends sources specifically state that what Qui Gon achieved was maintain his individual personality after passing on. He then proceeded to teach the same technique to Yoda and Obi-Wan. not sure how Anakin learned it though

I’m pretty sure as he died Obi-Wan taught Anakin; canon or not, idk. But I do know as canon that there is no in between death or ghost. Either you’re a ghost or your self goes away as you become one with the force. Voices while alive I don’t know at all.

Actually if you think about it, Holdo is a good idea of a character, she would be the inadequate captain that almost drives the Resistance to destruction, it's just that Leia is on her side rather than the mutineers. Imagine if she woke up and was like - "YOU DID WHAT" and from that point on Holdo, Leia and Po try to make a new plan to save Finn and Rose as well as themselves. That way her sacrifice would've been more important and dramatic. Do you miss Holdo? ... I miss ... the idea of her.

That was the tweest. Instead of something that fits with the theme of star wars like doing right by the troops or trusting your instincts when everyone tells you to shut up and listen to dogma it was that you should just listen to the person in charge. Get it? It's the opposite of a tweest. Round Rian Johnson is a genius

1:36 true. But also, yes Sabine did the bad thing, but characters being flawed is good... Anakin. She should overcome her own flaws, and we could get a better story than either Rey or Kylo gave us. Though, her turning would be powerful stuff as well... wouldnt be against it. She's already shown that she can both be falter for a selfish, if noble goal and fall for temptation/manipulation. I suspect they wont just leave such characterisation hanging. 13:44 Ah yes plot holes and rushed, aka 'This show didnt answer every question because its setting them up for the next season, but Im too dumb to realise that' lol

i hate when people say that the reason anakin turned to dark side is because the jedi order dont allow attachments, no the reason he went to the dark side is because his attachments where more important to him that following the light side so he went to the dark side to get the power to save his loved ones, which he wouldnt have even considered if he didnt have the attachment in the first place, same thing with samurai who stray from the way if they have attachments then they are more likely to be pursuaded to deviate from the way and endulge in self pleasing and immediate gratification pleasures instead of sticking to the way and just focusing on becoming a better warrior and in the jedi's case a better peacekeeper

0:49 Obiwan, Yoda, Rex. Obiwan has already bested Maul and Anakin in 1v1 fights each, Rex can snipe Solo & Mandalorian(plus his wartime tactics are superior to a smuggler or bounty hunter). Yoda can clean up Ahsoka and Luke. However, Rex and Yoda will both die, due to the sheer overwhelming number. Obiwan being a master of defense, he'd be weak if he was hunting me, but in desperate times he is willing to be uncivilized and put his all into staying alive and defending against the opponent. Maybe he'd even talk out one of them from the fight.

I personally would have chosen Luke instead of Anakin, though it depends on what era it is. CW? Luke is literally a fetus. After Endor? Vader is ashes. At both their peaks, I would choose Luke.

I chose Yoda Ashoka, and Obi. It depends on if the picture is the version you get. Han and Rex aren't that good since the others are saber wielders. Luke and Mando can't use a saber correctly, Obi kills maul easily and my three slaughter Anakin

The jedis are usually the good guys, but when peace weakens their instincts, and politics inevitably interferes with their purpose, not all jedi are good guys, and in turn they become to weak and spread thin to keep the balance.

Unpopular opinion, sabine was fine and any beefy white dude with a busy white beard could play baylon skol, also his mptivations were completely unexplained and he was basically only there to spout abt his grand destiny, order shin around and look menacing, his only good dialogue was abt the Idea of the jedi order, his appearance wasn’t some groundbreaking oscar winning performance and you’re only sayinf it is because he’s A. dead and B. Half of Y’all just don’t like woman and can’t relate to them very well due to the fanbase mostly being male and use the guise of legitimate criticism to cover up your blatant internalized and casual bigotry and if you personally (the reader) feel called out by someone saying “half this fanbase is fucking biggoted” it probably applies to you and I hope you unlearn those behaviors
