It's lore thing. Andor is based during the peak of the Empire. They killed and displaced non human species, so most places don't have any and it's what made most planets and systems want to fight for the rebellion.

There are aliens in Andor, people ought to get themselves a pair of working eyes, but it's easier to just repeat what other whiners have said online. You can see them in the streets of Coruscant, whenever there's a reception at Mon Mothma's residence, there are some in the Senate obviously, there are a few on Niamor and other planets, there are some on Ferrix, etc... Sure, they're in the background, but they are present in the series. The show also implies that given the Empire's xenophobic tendencies, if they arrest and imprison humans for arbitrary reasons just because they need manpower in the many factories supplying the Death Star project, it's more than likely that aliens are sent to worse places. Most likely factories still, but where they are worked to death in a manner way worse than at Narkina 5.

@@arkangelgaming35 1. Why would they do that? 2. That's a pretty big retcon from the OT. Though there's some precedent- the whole humanocentrism notion did have some roots in the former EU literature. Comes right out of left field if you didn't have that background, though.

So.... I don't think they just let it slide when people don't want their kids to join them. But then again, can we really blame them? If the alternative is having tens of force gifted people roaming around everywhere in the galaxy potentially ending up falling to the dark side?

Sadly this is true. The best choice for Anakin would’ve been Qui Gon but that’s because he also breaks the rules from time to time and knows how to act as to how a Jedi should.

in the old galaxy games its litteraly shown that the sith brainwashed childs to have them believe the sith way is the right one. And if that didnt work they indeed just killed the children.

@@jeltevl8868 usually they did so with very harsh and non practical training. Only the good Sith knew how to break the bad training and follow good habits that prevented them from going completely out of control. Darth Marr was one of them especially since he did the unthinkable and allied with the Jedi because of a galactic emergency called Vitiate. It’s not officially canon I know but we all know Vitiate was powerful enough to scare both the Jedi and Sith at the same time.

@@an-animal-lover Except the force isn't a religion. At all. There were many force users who were not Jedi. The Jedi were a religion.

Tarkin isn't that type of person, he doesn't care about the ins and outs of the force and its adepts, uniting all of it under the same banner. And for the insuisitors, they were jedi. The grand inquisitor was literally a temple guard, there isn't much more jedi than that

Order 66 / creation of the empire (because order 66 isn't a publicly known thing) would make sense as year 0 for imperial calendars. Battle of yavin makes sense as year 0 of the new republic calendar as it was the first major rebel victory against the empire. And the main reason why we (the viewers) use the battle of yavin as a year 0 is just because it is the first big event we were introduced to, so it makes sense to date other events in relation to this one

@@docomega7862 it wouldn't make sense to keep changing calendars according to empire or new republic because that's just inconsistent. I wonder what calendar they use in-universe

@@ApollonDriver didn't you just say order 66 would make a good year 0? It makes sense to change calendars to highlight an important change in society. Just look at examples in our history, daring things according to a religion (for cvristianity or islam) is a change in calendar from what came before. And if you want an example that would match in time scale that of establishing a new calendar for the empire and one for the new republic, look at french revolution. Wanting to distinguish from the previous order, revolutionaries created the republican calendar, later, said calendar was abolished by napoleon vecause he wanted to appropriate the idea of being a christian emperor so he went back to christian calendar. So it would make sense for the empire to start a new calendar with its creation and it would make sense for the new republic to do as well. As for the in universe calendar, each planet / civilization probably has its own calendar. So, for example, mandalorians probably center their calendar either on the crowning of the first mandalor or on the great purge. But, just like there is a galactic common language, there probably also is a galactic common calendar
