People keep calling Canto Bight space Las Vegas, but I just don't get that feel - I would say space Monte Carlo. Classier. Catering to the ultra rich, and not the rest of us. Las Vegas is aimed wider, and has a seedy version of "class" that Canto Bight just doesn't.

Ubisoft usually releases story expansion DLC, so i wouldn't be surprised if that's the case regarding the Outlaws season pass.

If nothing else, it's so cool to have a game that connects to the War of the Bounty Hunters. (Yay for Qira!!) I don’t like Ubisoft for moral/ethical reasons, and some of the animation looks... stiff. But dangit, I'm excited. ❤

When you click on the link to pre-order, the website says that the season pass includes two DLC story events. Idk if I'll preorder but I'm super excited to see what this game is like when it's released.

The game looks cool but I can’t imagine spending $110 dollars just to get the full story. You can buy the regular game for $70 (which is still way too much money) but if you buy it at the regular price you’re basically just excluding parts of the story that have already been written but were then hidden behind an extra paywall. I normally like to buy games right when they come out so I don’t have the story spoiled but this might be one where I have to wait a few years for it to go on sale to a reasonable price.

having played a few Ubisoft games, I would say the DLC would be story as they had done so many times in the past. With that day, I am curious how the reputation stuff works out in the game. In the Division franchise, helping one friendly fraction usually means upgrade for them and players upgrade as well so I wonder if that would be something like that for this game.

In some open world games like this DLC post release can be much more than just cosmetics. Some add new storylines, factions, and even large new areas. Typically Ubisoft offers fairly substantial DLC for their open world titles.

I am very cautiously optimistic about this game, knowing how Ubisoft and the gaming industry are.

0:56 I am really hoping Outlaws is going to respect the continuity. Thus far it appears it will. If this combines with good gameplay and a good story, this game will officially be awesome, hopefully in the same way that Jedi Fallen Order was. A more personal thing for me is whether or not this game will take a proper stance on the Empire. Can we really support or play as a neutral rogue or will we be forced to oppose it in some shape or form. Ham-fisting the Empire, and particular plain old 'Empire bad' stuff has become pretty common in SW stories sadly, for example with Solo, where Crimson Dawn's implied closeness with the Empire (at least, according to the Cloud Riders) is just unnecessary if anything. But if the story is good and they can work in the anti-Imperial message without making everything weird a la Andor, I think we'll be in for a great game.

Looks okay.. think I'd be more excited if you could play as Cad Bane or Fennec Shand or any bounty hunter we already know.

i seriously regret playing fallen order at release and not waiting for patches to fix the issues. i will practice patience on this one, there are too many good games to play that are properly optimized.

I’m a little torn on the game - the price is pretty high (and I don’t know what’s the deal with Ubisoft but I’m gonna find out cause it seems to be a very big deal), but I do love Kay, Nyx, the characters the environment, and the overall vibe the game. I hope we get some tie in comics or novels (though I hope it’s not like required reading or replacement for story content).

I really have great expectations about this game. But I'm afraid it becomes an "open-world" game like Starfield, full of loading screens and not really a fully open world. Story-wise, I'm intrigued, buy graphics-wise....it's looking very unpolished still, especially for a 2024 next-gen title. Maybe I've just been spoiled by Naughty Dog, but the character models and facial animations are looking kinda rough. Will reserve final judgement until the title is released and we see some in-hand reviews from the bigger gaming sites. Those scores will determine if I pick this up at full price, or wait for a price drop.

My one hope with the story of the game is that it can get me interested in the characters but also whatever the crew is going to be for this heist. Heist movies are so good when you can care about the people who commit to the heist especially when you factor in that we've seen heists go wrong, heists that go right but there's a twist to them and then you start to care more for the after affects. So far the thing that interests me the most about the game is the worlds we could be going to, exploring the underworld and how all of this plays into the world of which is still under the rule of the Empire. The dialouge and bits of the story come off as a bit generic so far so I am hoping all that other stuff pulls me in, including the gameplay.

i have no plans to buy this game of two main reason, first its a Ubisoft game the second its not on Steam
