Bad Batch season 2 is so underrated. What a great and emotional season.

Ahsoka was my favorite of the year. I grew up with both Ahsoka and Ezra. By the time Rebels premiered, I was the same age as Ezra and got to grow up alongside him, learning the same lessons as he was and even learning a good amount from the show itself. Ahsoka, Ezra, and Sabine were important parts of my childhood and young adulthood, and seeing their story continue and Ezra getting to return home after so many years fills my heart with absolute joy. The Clone Wars and Rebels where important corner stones of my childhood and influences in my life and this show felt like it truly honored them.

Ahsoka has to be my favorite of the year. As someone who followed her story since 2008, it was such a rewarding experience to see all of it come to live-action. Besides that, it told a great story with characters that we all know and love. Baylan and Shin are among my favorite new characters from any Star Wars project in the last couple of years. Also the cast is absolutely amazing. Lars Mikkelsen brought Thrawn perfectly to life, the same goes for Eman Esfandi as Ezra. Rosario and Ariana did a great job bringing Ahsoka to life. Ray Stevenson nailed it as Baylan. I could talk for hours how much I love the casting decisions for this series. All in all, a great year for Star Wars!

The first few months of the year, having Bad Batch and then Mandalorian episodes every week, new High Republic novels and comics and then capping it off with Jedi Survivor was such a fun and rewarding time to be a SW fan! I really enjoyed everything we got in 2023 and im very excited for 2024! Thanks Alex and Molly for keeping us up to date this year

Rise of the Red Blade has to be my top pick. That story was so gripping and raw. Plus the clone wars is my favorite timeline, so the partial overlap was really cool

My favourite was definitely Survivor. That ending hit me harder than I'd like to admit and like you said from a gameplay standpoint it elevated the base from the original in so many brilliant ways. Special shoutout goes to Bad Batch S2 finale and The Monster of Temple Peak (didn't come out this year but I'm still catching up with THR)

Ahsoka was such a perfect payoff of years of watching everything SW. It has to take the top spot for me.

Rise of the Red Blade is the only Star Wars book to get an emotional reaction out of me that wasn’t based on nostalgia (like EK Johnston’s Ahsoka did), but simply thanks to the book’s own merits

lots of great stories this year! really enjoyed Jedi Survivor and Mando S3 but my favorite has to be Ahsoka! Rebels is my favorite piece of Star Wars media ever! I love that show so much and have been waiting to see this story told for years at this point, and it finally happened and I absolutely loved it! It continues the characters from Rebels in great ways while introducing great new ones like Baylan and Shin. The music was absolutely incredible! and all the actors did a great job both for the new characters as well as returning ones from Rebels. And overall the show just ticked all the boxes for me, the great characters, the adventure and excitement, the incredible music, it's instantly become one of my favorite Star Wars projects and if we get a season 2 that's just as good or better?! (usually Filoni shows keep getting better) then it will almost certainly become my number 1 favorite, I loved it so much!

The novels are easily my favourite thing about the new Star Wars canon right now. I do kind of think we get too many trilogies like aftermath, alphabet squadron and thrawn ascendency as I prefer one-off stories focusing on well known characters, but the adult novels and short stories have me hooked all the way!

Ahsoka was by far my favorite thing. In addition to my loving the story and characters, it's the thing that has gotten the girls into Star Wars. They still haven't watched a ton, but they love Ahsoka and Sabine more than anything. 😀

Also gotta be Jedi Survivor for me. It was my second favorite game this year (being beat out by lies of P) and the reason for that was that entire third act. After that it would have to be Rise Of the Red Blade. My favorite Star Wars books always seem to be about the Sith and The Dark Side and this one did not disappoint.

I haven’t read as much as you by far, but mine either has to be POV or EOD from HR and BB or Visons. I love the amount of variety and creativity that’s expressed through it and I can’t wait for volume 3.

I just started playing Jedi Survivor a few days ago :) loving it so far, glad to hear it getting some praise!

Hit the nail on the head with the streaming. Mando S3 started strong, ended poorly. Ahsoka started rocky, ended strongly. And BB was solid throughout. Just got Survivor for xmas, cant wait to play it 🙌🏻

This has been a strong year for Star Wars! I haven't had a chance to play Jedi: Survivor yet, but I've seen a KZfaq video of the main storyline, and it looks great! Overall, I agree the story wasn't as strong as Fallen Order, but the entire third act made up for it with a whole procession of "holy $#!*" moments! I also haven't seen Young Jedi Adventures yet because I'm waiting for my son to be old enough to watch it with me, but I'm looking forward to it! Aside from that, in the TV realm, it's been a pretty good year. Ahsoka really stood out to me, not just because she's my favorite character of all time, but because the series took us to interesting new places, introduced great new characters, reintroduced us to dearly missed old friends, and wove in so much mythology and mysticism! Also, "Lieutenant..." Honestly, I've been iffy about The High Republic this year. I really liked some parts of it, but the Path of the Open Hand came off as more brain-gratingly irritating than threatening. I could barely stand to read parts of those books and comics. Also, I can't help but feel like they've made the Nihil too overpowered; by comparison, the villains of the films and other stories don't seem as dangerous anymore. Still, I'm looking forward to Phase III! Rise of the Red Blade was the highlight book of the year for me because I could sympathize with Iskat's mental health struggles.

I absolutely love the positivity on this channel! I wasnt crazy about this year for Star Wars, Mando was a huge letdown for me and i have mixed feelings on Ahsoka. But there was still a lot to love in both shows, and Bad Batch season 2 was incredible, definitely my favorite SW story of the year. Not a huge gamer, but i will get around to playing Fallen Order and Survivor at some point.

It's gotta be Jedi: Survivor for me as well, though Ahsoka is a close second. I'm also glad you shouted out Screecher's Reach from Visions Volume 2 cause I feel like that episode doesn't get as much love as it deserves! 😌

Honestly, I thought everything was pretty fantastic, but my favourite has gotta be the High Republic-Comics, Path of Deceit/Vengeance and the Blade because it has Matty and Barash in it and I love both of them. Not to mention young Porter Engle is pretty good looking honestly.

Dagan gera and the tannalor story was my favorite this year, it felt so weird and outta place and felt like a new Star Wars. Hopefully tannalor becomes apart of the larger story and not thrown out.

I loved just about everything that came out in 2023, but my top two Star Wars stories were definitely Ahsoka and Jedi: Survivor and it's difficult for me to pick a favourite between the two. Ever since the ending of Star Wars: Rebels, the search for Ezra and Thrawn has been my most wanted Star Wars story and Ahsoka delivered everything I wanted and more, giving me stuff I never thought I would see as a Star Wars fan. Same for Jedi Survivor, first of all, I love it as a game, I loved Fallen Order and Survivor built on its predecessor so well and improved on just about everything. I loved the story and the characters, so glad to see all the returning cast and the new additions. Those two stories truly made 2023 for me

I agree with you, Jedi Survivor was my favourite story of this year and I can´t wait to see where the path the story has marked will take us. The Nihil perhaps. Or maybe, as in Ahsoka, a wider Star Wars universe with new galaxies to explore and new stories to tell leaving behind the Skywalker saga (and all its controversies) introducing new characters, new powers, new villains (please!). Finally playing Jedi Survior now, on Grand Master. So far I love it! Also hate it! (The enemies) mainly all the these dang angry Pokémon who didn't cut it in the shows lol. And B2's... Gonna wrist rocket some droids if they don't calm down. 😂

Rise of the Red Blade was great!

Ahsoka show story was so good it made the last of us feel like a show made by 7 yr olds. I never expected a good show to be so destroyed by a Star wars show. Many Star Wars shows have been bad. Mando s3 was the worst for me because ig11 evaporated but is back. I expected Ahsoka to be a near good show and it’s actually next to lord of the rings good, so far. It’s also far better than Andor. Knowing how good Ahsoka show is feels like I’m in a dream. Ahsoka score:10/10. Almost the best Star Wars show behind clone wars and it has 7 seasons.

Jedi survivor was my favourite overall, but The Bad Batch s2 was a very solid runner up.

Finished Battle of Jedha and LOVED it, starting cataclysm tonight and im so excited. Loving the phase 2 comics as well! Once I'm all caught up I want to start the 2020 comic runs (STAR WARS, vader, aphra and such) but im getting so overwhelmed with these crossovers. what do I read and when?

My favorite story was Bad Batch Season 2. I think Season 1 was better storywise, but Season 2 had the higher highs, and if we had just gotten one more episode between The Solitary Clone and The Outpost to see Crosshair struggle with the Empire a bit more, it would have been better, but Season 2 gave us some great Clone Wars callbacks, and set up some stuff for the future. SEASON 3 WHEN?! I gotta know what happens next. Is Tech alive? I kind of think he is until we confirm he's not. What's really going on at Tantis and all the other clones? Is there any hope for escape? What about Quick-Draw Quasar?! Is he safe? Is he alright? Season 3 has the answers I desire.
