The Bolt Bend situation was understood incorrectly. The point at which John chooses the new target for Corey's removal spell is when Bolt Bend resolves, not any sooner than that. This means that all he does is cast Bolt Bend targeting Artifact Mutation. He doesn't say or choose anything else at this point. The only way in which Bolt Bend fizzles is if Artifact Mutation becomes an illegal target, as Bolt Bend has no other targets to it. When Bolt Bend finally starts resolving, John chooses a new legal target, Bolt Bend resolves successfully, and during this time, no other player receives priority and thus cannot take any game action. After that, Steven could potentially fizzle the removal spell with the new target, but that doesn't matter since Treasures have mana value 0 anyway, and it can't stop the Bolt Bend. In this case, if Steven assessed that he could sac the Treasure before Bolt Bend resolves, John would be forced to change the target to the double strike equipment, which would have saved Corey.

I want to see partner commanders but you use the same legendary but different versions like Akroma, angel of wrath and Akroma, angel of fury.

I love seeing one of my favorite cards being played: artifact mutation (even though I am an Esper player) and the overall pace of the game just feels so natural. The power level is also there even on budget week. This is by far my favorite show and it had been for years. Even without Justin, Corey (especially this season 🔥) brings a new level of competitiveness to the table from VS Live (which should come back because of the return of Pro Tours will definitely get more attention than before). Great production and gameplay as always, keep it up SSG crew ❤️

My expensive decks are usually all cards under 3-4 dollars 😅

I have 2 budget decks. Pako/Haldan with 25 ramp cards and outlast synergy. And Kodama/Toggo the Rock infinite landfall with Bounce lands and landfall to ping down opponents

It would have been funny if #TeamGreen had gotten the save for sacrificing the treasure in response to Jon casting Bolt Bend, forcing him to target his double strike equipment, but honestly this was still a really funny game :)

I think it's time to go for 1 under, except maybe for the commander. That would be fun!

I built a few commanders where the budget was that everything but the commander was below 5 $ and the whole deck was less than 100. I did Lavinia, Azorius Renegade and Sliver Overlord and Roon Of the Hidden Realm. it was only the 99 other cards that were suppose to be under 5 $. of course the prices today are way different.

This is kinda funny cause me and some buddys are doing the same thing.. the commander is 5$ or below and the 99 is 2$ /below...pretty close to your guys style cool to see this happen more instead of pure HEAT ALL DAY..

My budget would be feather the redeemed, most of the instants in that deck are under 5 dollars anyway.

I just dont get this guys, why do you all keep attacking Corey. The order of the players hasnt changed in weeks! I dont get how Corey and Jeremy arnt attacking steven and John exclusively to try and get some wins in.

I don't understand why they keep this point system around if it seemingly never factors into their decision making in game.

I think you've done this before, but how about a randomonium but with all the MTG planes where each player gets a different plane at random and then they have to use a commander and cards from only their assigned plane in the deck. It will the war of the planes! Also partner Planeswalkers would be fun, pick any 2 planewalkers and play them as partner commanders!
