Man, I dunno why they changed the mothership, it seemed so balanced.

And people complain about Protoss OP now, imagine that mothership nowadays.

I want a version of starcraft exactly like this...

Man, I was so hyped when this trailer came out. I played SC1 for many, many years almost exclusively custom maps. I was so hyped thinking about all the custom maps that could be possible on a updated engine and the updated graphics were certainly nice. There are some really good custom maps on sc2, but just didn't have the same longevity sc1 had for some reason. I've even booted sc1 to play more of the custom maps again since sc2 wasn't keeping my interest. I was a young kid, but I never got into 1v1 ranked on sc1 but I actually got semi into it on sc2. I wasn't good at all, but I was actually able to get into diamond league near launch (seems the avaerage skill ceiling has gone since then, and diamond now is harder than diamond at launch). There's just nothing like playing ranked SC. It really gets my heart pumping. Shoutout to LowKoTV for bringing me back to this 10+ year old trailer and making me feel old.

The mothership is so OP that even marines can't handle it...

I remember when this came out I was so hyped, I downloaded the video and burnt it to a DVD and played that on my TV to watch with my cousin. It was so exciting

This video is fucking hilarious; the names for some of the units are almost there but just off enough that they sound funny. "Warp Ray", "Phase Prism".

If it wasn't for WoW and it's troubles in it's first year, we would have seen and played this game a year earlier. Getting the feeling that extra year was worth it.

Jeez....old protoss are FUCKING OP. I'm happy they never used that lol. Not talking only about the mothership with 950 life 350 shields and significent shields regen + an insane dps + 3 very good abilities that can be used almost permanently...

The phoenix feels really balanced... wait... Battle Cruisers!!! also i know the graphics of the cool death animations would kill most computers, but they are pretty dope.

This game had a lot of changes before getting to this point. I remember when they had phase cannons, that could "blink" to other spaces.

It would be nice if the music in this video was retained in the final release... A lot of it sounds like bits from the Protoss game music, but not as...fiddled with, or something? I don't really know, I just know that it sounds similar to what's in the final game but isn't the same...

This build's colors and feel is much darker than released version. No idea why they didn't keep this style.

The game seems to be running at about 20 fps. Also, I cant image why we were so happy about this, the signs that it is nothing like broodwar are here. They basically said "Remember how the game is defined by holding key chokes and positions? Well almost every new unit can bypass cliffs, the nydus worm and warpin mechanic teleport units to anywhere on the map, and the immortal breaks tank lines" Mothership was cool though.

Now that i look at this more closely.. units seemed way more detailed and artistic. What we have now is streamlined for pro scene gameplay to do the job alright but doesnt look as pretty.
