Do you have to begin the NG+ by announcing your starborn status to do this or can it be done while replaying the campaign?

@@evilsteve8915 you can replay the entire story. And when vladimir asks for help to repair the eye you get a starborn dialog option where you take all the artifacts for yourself so the hunter has no reason to attack the eye

So... I have most of the constellation companions in my ship as crews... i wonder if that would also yield the same result which prevents the deaths of any constellation members. Thoughts?

Agreed. It's very lazily done. Based on the rest of this playthrough, one of the dialogues with a constellation member implied Andreja had died.

Oh, and yeah, about the ship. Above Neon when the Emissary attacks, Walter says "I've never seen a ship like that", despite the fact he's literally standing in my Starborn Guardian.

That really bugs me every time lol.

In my main story Barrett died and at one point I heard Sam tell Cora that's a good joke you should tell Barrett. And I was like Sam Barrett dead you saw him die.

Emissary voice gets weird as hell too. One mission he speaks like Barrett... Then Andreja... Then Sam... It seems like every change in the story you're able to do as a starborn either results in a plothole or oversight.

He's starborn so he's outside of the forth wall so he doesn't really break it

Yeah you dont say? When I entered the Unity, I expected some shit like the Crimson Fleet took over New Atlantis. NOPE It’s all the same thing expect for the opening scene at the. Lodge, and It’s only a 15% chance to trigger..

​@mordecai6351 I'm on my first new game plus and really the only differences being starboarding getting new dialogue. I've gone to Mars and talk to the head of the miners and just got new dialogue with him.

The exact same thing happened to me on my first new game plus. When I first talked to the hunter I had the dialogue that I wanted revenge but I shrugged it off but later when I talked to Sam ( and it was only Sam) we talked about how sad it was that Andeja died and not only was she my active companion she was just chilling out about 5 feet away from us.

thought he was a joke character at first, like a retired darth vader guy who just wears the suit to be left alone in public, but hes actually more evil when you realize hes you but hes played the game so many times he can just be sassy and self aware about it

But when he goes through the unity a 9th time… he’s gonna not pursue any objective at first… he’s going to sit… and contemplate what’s this all really for… the starborn fight and die in each universe with civilians friends and even family caught in the crossfire. So he makes the decision he’s had enough… but insureds of being peaceful like the keeper or go out and make money like the trader. He is going to kill all aggressive starborn and then hoard the artifacts in a bunker all of them…. It’d be a tantalizing bait for all starborn seeking the unity only to be met with death since they will be force to fight a plethora of defenses plus the current strongest starborn. And once all the starborn are killed…. He will task vasco to hide All the artifacts by having them buried deep within the planet and covered up…. So they may never see the light of day again… as he then goes and does what he always has… make the settled systems a safer place to live

No, the Hunter was referring to the port where after you escape the lodge and he is talking to you and everyone on your ship. This is when he says the word Unity. But since you chose to save everyone thar part won't happen

I had the opposite, with me Sara died and i got really sad because i didnt like Berret, but there is a hidden quest with Barret later on tho that was intresting.

Catchphrase... What I didn't have time to think of one, but now that I think about it... Catchphrase, is a pretty cool catchphrase.

There's a point in the story where Vladimir will ask for help fixing up the Eye. This is where the game would normally send half of Constellation there, leaving half at the lodge. When you're playing the story as Starborn, you'll get Starborn dialogue where you can warn Vlad that The Hunter is going to attack, and kill one of you. This triggers an alternative quest called "Foreknowledge" where they'll give you all their artifacts to move, skipping the fixing of the eye, and the attack. After this scene, you can move onto working with Matteo to unravel what Unity means

Evidently, this is also skipping the mission where you must take the artifact from Petrov since the Hunter beat you to it in this universe

@@lordvalinar774it’s new game and repeating the story. If you skip story you only get a list of artifact locations and then you head directly to confront the hunter and emissary.

You realize the choice is entirely yours, right? You dont HAVE to become starborn. you can leave and just live a normal life, But you as the player made the choice to become starborn.

You're not getting my point. I did decided to go Starborn and also kept a save so I could also keep playing as a regular guy. My take is that, so much of the argument before jumping into the Unity is for the character to be a better version of the Starboners themselves. But that's just pure bs, the only "focus" after becoming a Starborn was to be just another more, going after the artefacts, powers, etc... There was no continuation on the argument of the "I'll be better if I become a Starborn", just another artefact hunter. Yeah, I could "not jump" but there's no interesting storyline or new missions focus on doing something of impact as a Starborn. Most likely there'll be a new story on the DLC, but on the main part of the game it feels a wasted opportunity. @@user-sg6gp3ri7q
