Agreed, ever since NMS came out I had in my head that NMS combined with Fallout would be the perfect game for me, and then I found out about Starfield and after seeing the direct I knew it was going to be just what I was waiting for!

For the comparison it also shows that both guys, Todd and Chris, wanted a space game with tons of stuff to do but one of them had clearer limits instead of becoming even more bloated. Also it's an RPG on top of that, something which Star Citizen isn't as it's more a life sim "only". I know it'll have bugs, I mean after the quest designer iirc, it did show space bugs which likely was a wink to the audience xD, but at least it's a complete product as in all features (beside DLC content) are in the game and it'll only get better over time with patches, DLC and ofc the abundance of modding potential, either way it's an insane playtime (also replay value) with it.

One where ships are included in the game's purcgase... no need to server reset to force players to spend their hard earned money!

These days you have probably heard these voices in TikTok videos that speak text on the screen or use similar technologies to navigate my phone Post Videos, play games, and everything else others do, I would definitely recommend you look into how the blind use technology just so you know for your own knowledge, you never know what might happen in the future

@@Leelareso hard to say untill u played and experienced so called empty planets they said everything is procedural generated when u reach the solar system and the handcraft content is based on you exploring the planet and everything is random so it may go easy and boring on some planet and may go super hardcore and unforgiving on other planet,, and ofcourse we have the planets that support the main story aswell so yeah, untill we played we cant say 100% that the game is empty and boring so i see u are 100% u believe is trash , im more like 50/50 what i dont like about the game so far is that we cant manually land on planets like NMS but in any case, anything that wont be ,it will be added later with Mods 100% TO FILL THE SO CALLED empty planets

100% After Cyberpunk and all the hype I had for it I am always hesitant to pre order...

You should also probably wait 3 months or more for that first DLC that comes with a season pass and lots of fixes

​@@JasonPlaysNMSDid you notice the bullets don't fly straight from the barrel when firing from the hip? They come out at all different angles. It definitely needs skme polish. It's literally been the same since first showing gameplay. Slow it down and you'll see it indefinitely.

Reportedly they've had plenty of time including extra delay of a whole year for testing, were helped by all XBox QA, and no more crush since Microsoft bought Zenimax over 2 1/2 years ago. I don't think anyone lucky enough to work for Bethesda these days needs anyone's pity.

wise decision after the recent complete DUDS we have seen ( with the Gollum game taking the official "dud crown " ). We also have to assume - since it IS a Bethesda game - it will be a buggy mess on release and wwill only start to shine once modders start to release awesome mods ( look at Skyrim and the FO games )

I agree! I just told my friend I'm not paying for any full price/day one games anymore. Thankfully I have game pass so I can play it free. But Elder Scrolls and Fallout are some of my favorite games, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed! It looks like NMS on steroids tho!

My problem is that they've been working on this game for over a decade, and still delayed its release. And with trends showing developers don't have a problem shoveling out dogshit with a pretty name on it, we should all proceed with caution.

well Starfield most likely doesnt procedurally generate entire planet sized planets. What they most likely do is once you pick your landing zone, the game procedurally generates individual "tiles" which are big play areas the player is free to explore and within those tiles they randomly generate points of interest for the player to come across. The good thing is that it doesn't require a whole lot of processing power to generate these tiles and the tiles keep generating when the player transitions out of the boundaries of the tile they previously were on. So it gives the illusion that you're on this giant planet but in reality you're really on a large tile play area. This would also explain why flying your spacecraft in atmosphere is not a thing in this game.

That stutter I saw was peak kek. If *THEIR* RIGS were STUTTERING, imagine most other people’s rigs. They would likely explode and black screen just rendering at full settings. Expect Skyrim graphics to be the normal for this game. Its what I expect. Bugthesda makes bugs features (i saw one with that ragdoll) and I go in expecting a buggy mess. A fun buggy mess, but a buggy mess.

Also reminder that Bethesda has a terrible track record when it comes to their collectors editions for their games. The extra items they display often end up being of significantly worse quality, lacking promised features, or not arriving at all (ever).

I'll be pre-ordering and playing on August 31 and don't need any "reminders", permission, or edicts of what I'm "not allowed" to do, clueless negativity, or pointless whining, especially from someone who obviously doesn't know anything about the development or status of the game and BGS, all of which are looking great.

First I'll explain a little about why the development and status of the game are obviously looking great, which you have said above you know nothing about. This game and future Bethesda games are reportedly the main reasons Microsoft bought Zenimax for 7.5 billion dollars, and they (and XBox) have done some things helpful to Bethesda.There are no more crunches like in the pre-Microsoft Fallout 76 days being reported, indicating a change in policies of Zenimax that was driving people away from the company. The Starfield team of reportedly upwards of 500 people, much bigger than teams of the other very successful Bethesda games of the past, seem content and excited about the game. We can clearly see this in the Direct video. I think I understand why you'll sometimes hear them say "It's a Bethesda game through and through." This time, it's several of the developers talking instead of a single spokesperson, and you can tell that they have succeeded in making one of the greatest games we've ever seen and are glad to take credit for it. I've heard from interviews and the Direct video that they've been playing the game for a long time, as has the XBox QA department for a year now. Todd Howard has been playing on a Series S. They've had a long time to polish the game since last year when some thought it was already ready for release, and we saw quite a bit of the different aspects of actual game play in the Direct; certainly enough to leave no doubt that it's going to be incredible to play. It certainly doesn't "suck" and there's no believable chance that it "won't run" as you said, because of the stakes for XBox and Bethesda, because of the year of a lot of people playing it, and because we've seen it running ourselves in actual gameplay. Preordering games: There are only two real reasons I can see for not pre-ordering a game. The first is if one doesn't know much about the company and the quality of their games and wants to wait to see how it looks when other people play it. This was the case for a lot of people when Hello Games made No Man's Sky. The second thing that warrants caution is when a company is making a game very different from what they've done before, as when CDPR made Cyberpunk 2077. You could say that a similar situation occurred when BGS Austin (actually BattleCry Studios) made Fallout 76 and had to change a single-player RPG engine into a multiplayer engine, though the real problem then was an unrealistically early deadline forced on developers and QA. Given enough time, they made a game that has been enjoyable to play for a long time. In this case, we're talking about Bethesda, the company that made some of the most loved single player RPGs ever made (and my personal favorite games), and what are they making? Another single player RPG, exactly the kind of game they are unquestionably experts at, in what appears to be an excellent development environment in a great period for the company, with a whole year of extra time to polish it. So, though I can see why people may sometimes want to be hesitant to preorder, I can't see any risk at all in this one. Your statement that this game may "suck" or not meet the expectations of people, most of whom should know in this case that they liked past Bethesda RPGs, makes me suspect you have no real familiarity with the company or its games. As for the ridiculous idea that preordering games "hurts consumers": I don't think you can defend this idea logically. What I do see is a motive for creators of inferior games to spread the idea that no one should pre-order, because they realize that if someone like me spends my money on Starfield now, I won't be as likely to spend it buying their crappy game that comes out later but before Starfield, and isn't interesting enough to have a pre-order of its own. I can think of a GOOD effect of pre-ordering games for consumers, which is that it financially helps the company developing the kind of games a player likes to survive during times when its income isn't as high, so that it will be able to keep making the games that player and other consumers want to buy. I'd like to hear your explanation of exactly how consumers will be hurt by me or anyone else pre-ordering Starfield as you claim, although frankly, I doubt you'd be capable of making such an argument even if one existed.

Sorry but I see more elements it has in common with Elite Dangerous than NMS. Especially when it comes to the customization and ship elements. The biggest NMS comparisons I can draw is the way they do planetary generation... but even then it's kinda different because they map the individual planets in different resource zones.

Wrong, this game has been in development for years before NMS even came out.

Play it for a while and see if you feel the same way. Hello Games is not and could never be Bethesda.
