I also dont like how it holds together by flex tape. Its most common gun on this planet, yet they didn't bothered to find some fitting parts. Yet Old-Earth Shotgun shows that was possible.

Sound design on these is pretty strong this time around. Considerably better than it was in Fallout 4.

I'm surprised to see that Bethesda can make aesthetically pleasing firearms. On the other hand I'm disappointed to see that there is no mod upgrade to melee weapons like they did in Fallout 4.

You look like craps. Overengineered guns with a ton of working parts and exposed electronics. They look heavy, unwieldy, and fragile.

Only animations are ok, most of the weapons are ugly af, they are unnecessarily large and bulky which makes no sense for a weapon especially from the future.

@zedus4042 I'm just glad the art designers took the heavy feeling and thickness as the art directions of the weapons in the game because they match the bulky spacesuits pretty well. Otherwise, seeing the bulky astronauts fighting with a slim gun would make me sick

@@zedus4042got to make guns designed for space most of the wires on those bulky weapons are for cooling systems or are bulky because they would need heat sinks to release the heat build up of the guns because the vacuum of space doesnt cool the guns

So "old Earth assault rifle" doesn`t get even wire/shovel stock? While almost every gun shown after it has some way to modify/remove the stock. Weird and oddly specific choice. And I still wonder if "old Earth hunting rifle" gets full auto mod, because wikis are sill not showing any mods for that weapon.

Lawgiver, Eon, Sidestar, Rattler, and Regulator change appearance very much when modded. Don't know about the the rest yeat due to not being that far in the game.

I don't mind the 1911, seems OKish to me, but what the hell went wrong with the AKM? In a game filled with surprisingly well done weapon, sounds, animations and gunplay AKM just feels janky with the absurd shooting animation, unfitting screen shake, hands floating next to the grip instead of holding it... This weapon just seems unfinished.

@@aleksanderolbrych9157100% Bethesda laziness. Reused idle animations from another weapon and you can easily tell by how the grips are just floating in the air. Same for the rest of the old weapons. Can’t be bothered when you have modders doing your work.

The way left hand floats and isn't even connected to gun on "old earth rifle" (some kind of AK) is so cringe... its animation is also considerably worse than the rest and weird position of the model on screen makes the weapon look so small...

I can't stand to look at the pistols. The impracticality of these pistols is just appalling. One of the pistols is a thick as the shooter's fist. Have fun keeping that on your holster.

A bunch of stupid looking guns. They really can't design a sci-fi gun that is not overtly overengineered and packed with a ridiculous amount of moving parts and exposed electronics. All of them sci-fi guns got poor ergonomics, are heavy, unwieldy, fragile, and are a pain to field strip, maintain, and clean. And some how every gun from Old Earth is a bunch of century old guns. They should have been a striker-fired pistol and a short-stroke piston driven rifle.

Yea most of these fucking suck, why the hell are many of these guns so unnecessarily big and bulky? That would make no sense from design point since it would be so uncomfortable and hard to use the gun... also they can't even render scopes properly, they do it like games from 2000-2010s which is completely ridiculous. Literally just a black .jpg slapped on screen that represents a scope lmao

My god I am glad I don’t buy this game. The only weapons with interesting design and animations are heavy ones, at least they seem fun to play, but all other guns… Even the old ones is so badly animated and designed that my eyes stars to bleed and my mouth start to pour curses on entire bloodline of gun designers and animation team
