@@SammEater I didn't. For one simple reason: Teal'c has hair in the flashback. The only time that O'Neill was still a Colonel and Teal'c had hair, was during the Asgard-Replicator battle with Thor's ship, the Daniel Jackson. Great idea, terrible continuity... Carter specifically says COLONEL O'Neill. Edit: Worse still, even if we said it was then. What? He underwent not one but two missions between that and him taking command of the SGC?

i love how this part of the episode was both a jab at the show series/ scifi action genre and an easy way to include o'neill into the episode without him actually having to be there (his time off from the show for family)

@@MadsenTheDane Check out "Behind the 200th", Richard Dean Anderson played O'Neill as invisible, wearing a green suit, in the scene where he and Christopher Judge walked down the hallway. The other scenes were probably just the lines he read when he was at the set.

Perhaps, but I felt the point of it, aside from the jokes, was to point out that even MORE wacky shit happens than we see. Daniel's probably died a dozen more times than we ever actually saw. They don't even bother having a ceremony for him at this point.......

They already did something like this in Crystal Skull, unfortunately because Daniel was out of phase, he also couldn't touch anything, the same thing happened with Colonel Mitchell with Merlin's device. Yeah they should've done at least one episode about things being invisible, whether it be real people, aliens or something else entirely.

In my opinion, it all comes down to whether the clothes he was wearing when he became invisible were transformed like he was. Of course, that leads us to a rather annoying problem: What is he going to do when those clothes start smelling and must be washed? He's going to need a change of clothes some day - and, while I think those could be washed, one slip up and O'Neil is reduced to being invisible only in the nude!

The funny thing is that this plot line is actually used several times in the show when ever they are "phased", Plus Urgo. So this one is technically a lampoon of not only a generic scifi trope, but a lampoon of how THEY themselves used this exact gag several times in the course of the show.

So I'd gone to visit the International Spy Museum in Washington D.C. while on vacation and gotten these sunglasses with a black plastic mustache hanging from the lenses via a couple of chains as a souvenir. I got back from vacation and where I worked at the time had a guard gate, so I put on the sunglasses with the black plastic mustache hanging below my nose and went through the gate. That got a good chuckle out of the gate guard.

If I recall correctly, they started the episode off making it seem like they had been forced to shoot the episode without Richard Dean Anderson. Then Jack is invisible and it seems like they are just going to talk to empty space. Then he spoke and I was wondering of they had just repurposed recorded dialog. But then it became clear he had actually recorded new dialog. He finally appeared in human (non-marionette) form near the end of the episode. They were just joking around TV and screen writing tropes throughout the episode. It was truly brilliant.

There is a theory that invisibility will cause blindness depending on method of light manipulation. If light is bent around the person, the light never reaches the eyes.

200 was noncanon. However, it should be noted that Teal’c only had hair after Jack was revived and became General, whereas, in this minisode, he was still Colonel.

Some trivia here... they kind of did that episode because RDA wanted a bit of time off... but if i recall he had to come back and do some scenes in a green bodysuit (b/c they didnt have anyone else) that they erased in post so he ended up working anyway.

He was invisible thanks to energy from generator,so if it made invisible everything it touched (in this case O'Neill),it would probably made invisible even his clothes,but he wouldn´t able to wear anything else.
