What gets me is Teal'c reaction to Jack reading the language, he looks(for lack of a better word) worried for Jack, like he wants to just suddenly ask "Are you Ok? Im seriously worried about your inability to talk and emote" He has the same face in a later season where they get another repository and Jack is modifying the Rings, when he asks "Can you even understand me....O'neill I...." To which jack just rests a hand on him, touches his face the way Bratac would then resumes working. Its that level of acting and detail that made these characters amazing

@VestedUTuber6 жыл бұрын

@NATIK0015 жыл бұрын
@@regiliok It's rare yes, but it's also explained that it is why O'niell and others like him have the Ancient gene that activates Ancient tech. O'niell does have Ancient/Lantean ancestors at some point, everyone who can activate Ancient tech without the gene treatment has Ancient ancestry.
@BlackDiamond27184 жыл бұрын
He used the drone chair and the jumper. So yeah he does have the gene. Goauld have the marker with the hand devices and carter had jolinar in her and teyla with the Wraith and their tech.
@quinnsinclair70283 жыл бұрын
Technically speaking that's a retcon. The ancient gene was invented for Stsrgate Atlantis about five seasons after the Ancient Repository first appeared. The original explanation was that the machine was made specifically to repel Goa'uld. However since that was supposition on Carter's part and the Ancients weren't too well fleshed out before Atlantis it was a fairly easy retcon to do without any blatant contradictions.

Wasn't the clue to 7 down on that crossword _celestial body,_ but Jack wrote _Uma Thurman?_

What bugs/bugged me about this episode is, as soon as it grabbed him NO ONE IMMEDIATELY went to try to help EVEN AFTER he started struggling

strange how everyone stands back and watches with O faces as Jack is trapped by a literal face hugger

This is the exact reason they will never be able to successfully do a re-boot of Stargate SG1. Richard Dean Anderson was such a unique actor to play O’Neal. Plus all the other actors had such great chemistry with each other. They never will be able to recreate it.

When Mallozzi and Mullie pushed the Jack/Carter crap it ruined the series. You could tell RDA no longer enjoyed the series because they rarely let him work opposite Michael (who he had the most fun with - him and Chris), because M&M DESPISED that so many of the fans were slashers that shipped Jack and Daniel. The did the same thing on SGA with John and Rodney as well, pushing Rodney and Keller and not letting David and Joe be in as many scenes together as they were in the beginning. They were homophobic jackholes that burned the shows to the ground rather than ignored their own prejudices and let fans see what they wanted to see.

I like the nod to the original movie where daniel figured out the stargate from seeing star charts in a newspaper.
