DC's Stargirl, or simply Stargirl, is an American superhero television series created by Geoff Johns that premiered on streaming service DC Universe and now airs on The CW. It is based on the DC Comics superhero Courtney Whitmore created by Johns and Lee Moder. The series follows high school student Courtney Whitmore, portrayed by Brec Bassinger, who discovers the cosmic staff and becomes the inspiration for a new generation of superheroes who become the Justice Society of America. The series also stars Yvette Monreal as Yolanda Montez / Wildcat II, Anjelika Washington as Beth Chapel / Doctor Mid-Nite II, Cameron Gellman as Rick Tyler / Hourman II, and Meg DeLacy as Cindy Burman! #Stargirl #DCStargirl

One of the things that makes this show different from other superhero shows, and something I really love about it, is that the villains have secret identities and regular lives as well. And this episode really showed that. The awkward bonding between Pat and Larry and between Barb and Paula were great. Also in the comics Bruce Gordon was the first Eclipso. When the character was revamped in the 90s, this was changed to Bruce Gordon being Eclipso's first host.

I was thinking what it was that mad ethis show so different,You're right i think it's because of all the secret identities and how a lot of the story isn't told through action scenes,they really take their time

Beth's can seem like they want space, but they remind me of an snl skit where this teen girl is bffs with her mom and dad that they would rather have her be embarrassed by them and be like a normal teen. Maybe yolanda's and beth's will get fleshed out. Also, add rick's uncle as a jerk too since he harassed a waitress in s1

Each week it gets better and better. This reminded me so much of season 1. Happy we are back to top notch Stargirl episodes. This is one of the few shows that every week I'm sitting around wondering where every character (good or evil) will be by the end of the season.

i dunno for me it dipped last week apart from the Shade. but this week's had been my fave of season 2 so far. Largely due to the Crocks being so fun! One of the things I miss most that was in season 1 were the enemies getting almost as much screentime and backstory as the heroes. I loved that. Seems to be lacking this time but the Shade is certainly interesting if not apparently the main bad guy so far (if we're to believe him).

This season is getting more good, Neil Hopkins is awesome as Lawrence Crock when ever he smiles you know he's gonna do some fun and crazy.

Jonathan Cake is so good as the Shade. It's a shame he's seemingly been wasted in bit-parts (like Blackbeard) up til now. The Shade himself was curious in the library interaction, particularly loved the moment where he realised was actually speaking to a child and moderated his tone.

Bruce Gordon is the original Eclipso host in the comics (and yes named after Bruce Wayne and Jim Gordon as an in-joke apparently)

The Crocks are completely insane, but I can't help but think they are actually really good parents sometimes. It's weird, but they do care a lot. (and they're obviously a great source of entertainment on the show!!)

I loved this episode. I was a lil bleh about last week's (except the Shade stuff, he's interesting) but this week's was a lot more fun. I've actually missed Sportsmaster and Tigress. They're so fun! :D And the whole uneasy truce between them and Pat is a joy to watch. :) Is Artemis supposed to be super strong? I forget. She sure throws a ball and crushes an apple like she's a lot stronger than the average teen or human.

I used to be a correctional officer in different prison systems. I hated c.o.’s like the one in the opening scene more than any inmates I supervised or watched. Officers like that created problems for officers that worked to keep things running well and smoothly.
