Death penalty should be for serial killers
@Emily-mi2jm
@Emily-mi2jm 6 жыл бұрын
Yeah actually I agree 100% lol but just in regards to this video serial killers is what came to mind bc he killed a cop. But I totally agree with the next part too. These people may as well be sentenced to life in prison bc they aren't really killed until they're old anyways, but I can see both sides on killing them right away vs waiting. I think I've heard that it costs more to kill them than to keep them alive, too. So by keeping them alive for so long you're just adding to funding from the taxpayers so I agree about getting it over with within a year. But I really don't think this guy deserves the death penalty

From watching this you can tell he relives what he did in his mind, but you can also see that he is sorry for what he did and he does not want to die on death row, he seems like a person who at the time of pulling the trigger did so because he felt his life was threatened, he was young, it does not make what he did correct but he can be a productive member, you can even see his attitude through the way he speaks. Even though he knows his condition he still wants to live.

And that's why when a cop tells you what to do you have to listen and up your hands up. We have a lot of guns in this country and a lot of them are in the hands of criminals that will do anything to try and not to go back to prison and yes that even means kill! They actually think they can shoot and kill a cop or someone they are robbing and get away with it. This dude was shooting at cars and robbing people I don't feel sorry for his ass! If it wasn't the police officer he killed it would eventually been someone else. He claims that he though the police officer was a stranger that might have had a gun bullshit! You’re justifying murder by saying it’d be ok if the other person did it. Fact is, if the cop got threatened and shot an armed man that isn’t murder, that’s self defence. If the cop went out and deliberately hunted this boy down and killed him then the cop would be in prison. Fact is the kid, who somehow didn’t know cops are armed in America, shot an officer because why not and you think he should go Scot free because if the rolls were reversed and died the police officer would miraculously not get punished? Does anyone genuinely believe this?

ill comment against it. 99.99% of the time an officer shoots someone it's because they are a danger to the officers or citizens. And the excuse he used wasn't valid at all. The officer can use that excuse because they have a job which involves the worst of human behavior. They risk their lives every day protecting the country you live in. and if you don't want to get shot then all you have to do is listen to what the officer is saying since he doesn't know what you have on you. This kid isn't an officer, hes a criminal. hes not helping anyone but himself when he shot that officer.

I think is the concept as when you're a medical doctor for example and faced with a situation where someone needs medical attention in a public place e.g. mall, and you're the only person who can help them while awaiting paramedics. You can't say I'm off duty while a person's life is in danger, however, you need to identify yourself and ask them if you can assist (get a consent).

@@cilviasegokodi4046 I understand what you are saying but I think that kind of situation is in a topic of its own. The way I see with that concept is like if I were about to get surgery done and the scheduled doctor has to clock out and go home because his shift is already over. After leaving the hospital he makes his way back in to the hospital and performs the surgery without telling anyone until it's already done. Well was the "cop" in your scenario out shooting at vehicles and trying to rob them like this man was out doing? Apply some empathy to your logic and you can find the answers to the things you ask on your own. It's funny how even in a scenario when this cop did nothing wrong (He was literally jsut driving and someone shot his car) You can still only show hate for cops, and you have no anger over the man endangering people.

Emodi Kann Wow okay, so don’t you think that if the roles were reversed it wouldn’t be the same? Kids are being shot by cops all the time and the times that cops are shot it’s times like this. The man who identified himself as a cop did not justify what he was reaching for. For a black gentleman he felt threatened due to this action so he defended himself. Look what happened. Now look what happens when cops shoot people. “I thought he had a gun” when people usually don’t because sometimes or most of the time it’s not justified what is being reached for. The cops aren’t fired or put on death row. Usually an investigation isn’t even ran. So fuck you man

I mean if you shoot a cop for no reason then you should go to prison same for a civilian and possible death sentence. Police are people too and maybe they do put their lives in danger but civilians and police should be treated equally.

It is called felony murder. Someone died while he was committing a felony. Cop or not. Felony murder is usually a capital offense, making it eligible for the death penalty. Anyone committing the felony with him would also be charged with the murder. If the cop had killed an accomplice he would still be charged with felony murder. It doesn't matter if it is your crime partner.
