this is a strange question, but which musical would you say is the least inappropriate?? i want to watch one with my family, and i’m trying to figure out which one. mamd is out of the question, twisted is too because of “he fucked a tiger” and how many times it says “fuck you.” firebringer is a big maybe, it does say a lot of curse words. tgwdlm, prob not. the avpm, sequel, and senior year are also choices. none of my parents know much about star wars so idk if ani is a good choice. i need HELP LMAO

It’s actually been used since the late 19th century and was reclaimed in the 1980s. It’s the only word in the community that just means not heterosexual which I love. I’ve always just thought it’s a beautiful word and if people want to use it against me they’re stupid anyway. I’m still bi as well. Gay has also been used in the community since the 60s/70s and frequently used as an insult. It’s all quite interesting to read about actually. It is a slur, but it’s also kind of an umbrella term for the LGBTQ+ community. People use the word “queer” to describe their sexuality when they don’t like to use specific labels or if they’re unsure which label to use. And some people just prefer it over other terms.
