Starscream was a dorito with chicken legs because Michael Bay realised that an F-22 raptor was about twice the size of the peterbuilt truck Optimus was, and because Bay wanted Optimus and starscream to be similar heights but still relative to the size of the vehicle mode, they created Doritoscream

I find the robot designs and transformations really cool, actually...well, before _Age of Extinction._ In that particular film the designs get a little _too_ human for my taste. Of course, plot-wise the movies suck. In the first movie Starscream was actually pretty badass. His wide-bodied chicken-like design was only because an F-22 is nearly _twice the size_ of a Peterbilt 379, but Michael Bay wanted to keep him shorter than Optimus.

I honestly like dark of the moon just as much if not more then the first one. My only real issue with that film is what they did to Shockwave and Megatron (not enough screen time, barley did anything, etc) but Sentinel Prime as the main bad guy was fucking dope!

Can I just say that even though incredibly inaccurate I actually like the movie design. He’s quite broad and immediately recognisable as Movie Starscream.....BayScream. I also don’t understand the complaint ‘they look like piles of scrap’. Although not well integrated (BumbleBee did the designs way better) the random metal pile look makes sense as they need to go from looking like a robot to a vehicle which means a lot would need to move around.
