Somewhat. I'd say Cathedral Pictures would be the most ideal candidate, since it (loosely) adapts a classical piece, y'know, like Fantasia. It's really an interesting thing to think about.

***** Yeah. Honestly if this were in sheet music, the easiest way for musicians to read it would be alternating 4/4 - 3/4. Same thing, but yeah.
@TheBartgry9 жыл бұрын
Theoretically, it can be both 4/4 and 7/8. :)
@ChrisThurmanVA9 жыл бұрын
TheBartgry No lol can't be both. Yes, technically 7/8 will "fit" into the beat spectrum of this. But it's very hard to count it like that. And if you were to count both 4/4 AND 7/8 with this, it simply wouldn't work :P

I first watched these on PBS several years ago! Still fascinates me even now! Wouldn't it be something if someone could develop an actual mechanical "robotics" or devices that played music just like this?

I remember this one too! I think all of 'em are so intriguing, I have always loved Computer Generated Animation ever since I saw a Video entitled "The Mind's Eye", It was at the local Summer Fair around 2001 I think it was. That Is what actually started my interest in watching this kind of thing. I am a cartoonist that draws line drawing cartoons. I never published my drawings into comic strips though. I wish I could animate like this, but being on disability income which isn't quite enough left after Rent/bills, I can't afford such software required for CGI...and I am not acquainted with how it works either, or how to use such software. So, I just sit back and enjoy the projects that others have created!

@TheFoxDevil6667 жыл бұрын
My elementary music teacher showed us these when we some extra time. I think they showed these for fun and to get us to see how many parts it takes to make/play music. Idk. But that's what I got out of it.
@BorgerBuns7 жыл бұрын
oh great! there are other people that watched this. I remeber these from 3rd-5th grade. I guess we would watch these as an idea of a possible career if we really liked music. either that or just because it was cool.
@RS250Squid7 жыл бұрын
My guess would be because it allows people to "see" which instruments are playing which notes, rather than just trying to pick them out of an orchestera.
@heidimassey65567 жыл бұрын
mine did it to show us band kids that while scales and arpagios are boring as crap, you need them to play cool music like this. it also shows how traditional instruments can be used in an untraditional way.

After the fall of the Emperor and the Death of Lord Vader. The Empire had to come up with a new weapon to counter the growing support of the Rebel Alliance. So the best and brights across the Empire that did not flee, captured, or killed worked on coming up with this new weapon. A Starship. One that the Galaxy has never seen. This ship was the Starship Groove. Let us just say. The only thing the Rebels could counter with was "MORE COWBELL!" Still the Empire lost...all for lack of Cowbell.

Was playing TF2 and wanted to test out my Stereo Mix and try playing some music through my microphone, and what better music than this? One dude didn't quite recognize it at first, but the next moment he said "holy sh*t I haven't heard this in like 7 years"

Dori Fava Like I used to think it was cool and all (and I still do) but it's just I had a great fear of robots and animatronics when I was little. Now, I just think it's a silly irrational fear so I like animusic more now.

the animation is just stunning for 2005, even now it holds up amazingly, especially for just being created by two people. the music is super funky and enjoyable too, sad to see how animusic 3 ended up but the first two will always be iconic

*Uh, Houston...... We're seeing some sort of animatronic band on a floating stage playing music... Uh, despite playing in the vacuum of space we can hear them somehow... ...over*

We could have an animated show just from the red and blue robot getting into some silly antics by visiting the other Animusic locations

I imagine one episode being about them visiting pogo sticks, and they did something to the pogo sticks that ticked them off so Mr. Stick and his buds started chasing them back to their starship

For what this is and how good the groove is from a musical standpoint, underrated. So tasty.
