Hi lovelies, Hi lovelies, where you live can significantly impact your personal growth by giving different opportunities. Early last year, I realized I needed a change, so I decided to relocate. In this video, I'm talking about all things going through my mind as I'm starting life from scratch all over again in my late 30s.
Love, Poppy xx

I tuned 39 last month. I'm unmarried with no children I'm going to start a Masters full-time in a whole new country within the next few months. I'm pivoting in my career to do what I want to do and not what I can bend myself into. You're going to be fine. We're going to be fine because we're living our own lives and not what is deemed as " settling down " by society. Continue to walk bravely!

By the time I was 45 I had lived in VT, NH, CT, MA, FL, NC, WI, AZ, NM, and Vegas twice. I'm now 65 and the past five years have lived in Mexico and twice in Europe. I will have another move by the end of this year to a sunnier climate. I've done this alone with only my dog. We go through growth stages every 7-10 years. We are constantly evolving. I meet so many women travelers along the way. I never want to be that person on my death bed thinking I shoulda, coulda, woulda but I was too afraid to try. At 38 you are still learning so much and grasping what is important to you. You have so many wonderful moments ahead. You will be a full powerhouse with each evolution. Try different things and do not consider anything a mistake. You are learning what you like and do not like. That is valuable. I have changed careers. From psychiatric caseworker, fashion industry and now I am working on my first fictional series.Congratulations and safe journey.

@@DurainMontong I did have a family. I'm even a proud grandmother. Many women travel with their partners, alone on vacations, after divorce and after a partner dies. I've had a divorce and a partner die. Sounds like you missed the point. Women can do anything, they have choices. You jumped to the conclusion that I've not experienced other aspects of life. I also have friends who married their high school boyfriends and never moved at all. They are perfectly happy. However, this conversation is about those who are making different choices and overcoming those fears.

@@agl5132 I find your story inspiring and empowering. Women can do anything they'd like, whether they ever choose to have a family or not. It is always the insecure men or brainwashed (by patriarchy) women in the comments trying to shame women about having or not having a family. It's just tired! I'm about to move out of country and it's scary but continuous growth and learning is so worth it :)

I'm much younger, currently 26. At 25 I decided to move across the world and start from scratch. No friends, no connections, just a job I had applied for before moving over. It's been a little under a year now and my life is completely different. I've accomplished so many goals, overcome so many challenges, and have even found love. I feel like moving was what propelled me into this future I have today -- and I am extremely thankful I made that leap of faith. Best of luck in America!

It's so sad that we have boxed ourselves in a perceived category as per society..... go to school-get a degree-get a job-get married-have kids-retire-die. If you are a certain age and don't reach certain goals , then people start badgering you. I wish people practiced the adage - live and let live !!!! No1 ... I repeat , no1 should be made to feel guilty of where they are in life... as long as you are happy and hustling and working hard for your happiness , you do you.

I am 36 and have started my life over once every few years 😂 I hope all those who are watching this truly truly believe my words - 30s is not too old. 40s is not too old. Anyone can start a new page anytime. The ONLY thing that truly stops us from doing what we want is money and opportunity. Society can say you should do this or do that by a certain age, all they want. It’s your life to live not people around you. At 32 I moved from California to New York. Because of a new job opportunity. At 34 I moved to Canada and I’m starting over. Like the wise Natasha Bedingfield once sang, “Today is where your book begins, the rest is still unwritten.”

I am in same situation as you are right now. End of month, we are moving to different city, we will rent a house for a first time in my life. New job, new position that I never had before. The mix of feelings and emotions is so real. When we got this opportunity, I said no. Then I sat on the thought and I think the same. Not always but often is good and better to just do things against the fear we feel. And same as you, I just hope that this is going to work out as it did in a past. Good Luck! 🍀

Enjoy yourself in the USA Poppy. I wish you all the best, and hope you continue to share the chapters of your life with the universe. I had everything in my home country, cars, high rank title, nice office, a lot of friends, etc but early part of this year, I have lost everything... Except for the love of my parents and siblings. I'm trying to regain that confidence and start all over again. I am sure that one day, the Lord God will pave way to the plans He has for me. I am keeping my FAITH. ❤

Thanks for this video. It's true what you said about failure. Sometimes things don't work out how we want, but that doesn't mean they are failures. They are great opportunities to learn. And even if it doesn't look like we are making any progress, we are. The process is different for everyone, and we shouldn't judge others or ourselves at any time.

Just found your channel, thanks for the relatable and empowering message and life experiences on failure, goals, and starting over! This video had such inspirational and insightful words! Morgan Harper Nichols has a quote that says " be kind to yourself on this journey, you have already come so far." Thanks for reminding us of this! Great idea about learning new skills, I have been watching Diane in Denmark Friday videos on her KZfaq channel, where she gives four self-care assignments for the week and she mentioned creativity one week. Im turning 30 later this year and it's incredibly daunting and scary because I still dont have a clue what i want to do in life in terms of my career. I'm also single and can't see that changing any time soon because of my lack of social life. I think it's comforting to know that others are experiencing the same problems. I don't think I've seen the best version of myself since i was in university. I've wanted to live in another country to push myself out of my comfort zone, but I've been too lazy and procrastinate too much, so it never happened. I hope we can all find that drive and ambition that we need in life
