Getting back on a project I started over 25 years ago. Taking a look at some parts and items I brought home for this 1984 Mercury Capri RS T-Top, from where it is stored..

Thanks, next move after coming home will be on the frame rack and alignment rack at work to verify all is good before I go any farther. Will be posting video with the frame check, hope my guy at the Body Shop don't mind being in a video lol..

Oh man, this is going to be cool! I am so glad to hear that you worked all the parts and bagged them all up. I learned that lesson a long time ago when I started working on cars. Lol.

Thanks Brian, I was re-doing my 85 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe years ago and threw it all in a box, that was a hard lesson learned, ended up selling the car before it was finished.. One I wished I had kept.. Have a good one!

Took a long time for me to like the foxbody's but now I'm a huge fan. I'm really looking forward to see how you did your hinges, door jams and t-tops on the current build! Can we anticipate an update video soon? Love your work my bro

Thanks Steven. for me growing up in the 80s Foxbodys were the boss, Grand Nationals were too expensive lol. I have some more goodies on there way to help on the Mustang, next video I am cutting off hatch and installing T-Roof, trying to figure out how to make some workable hatch lift struts.. Still thinking in that one lol. Have a good one Steven!

MMMM venison! Nice project you have there Kreg. I have a 1988 Pontiac Firebird with a manual trans and hard top. Needs attention. i'm glad A10's are on our side!💪Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Mark, I'm a fan of the F-Body Trans Am, cool car.. For sure love the A-10's, they fly over every other day, this was higher than usual, Yes I'm glad there a product of the USA.. Pure Awesome!!

Thanks Alan, This is why I like these, seems like so many Mustangs, Camaros and Trans Am's out there. I have most parts for it, still in search for some and some extra money lol.

Really cool project Kreg! Love those valve cover gaskets too. NAPA sells them and I got a pair to put on my Fairlane. Zero leaks ever since.👍

One of three or four of my favorite cars growing up. Liked the subtle styling differences of the Capri more than the Mustang. Got a chance to drive a 1986 ASC/McClaren Capri once. Became a total car nut on that day.

Nice! When I was in High School my friends brother owned a white 1986 with orange stripe ASC Capri T-top with tinted windows... Was in love with that car

I haven't seen a Capri in years. Always thought a notchback done up like one would be neat, and stylistically more fitting. I had to put my project car away in storage last year after moving and no longer having a garage. Good luck on the build Kreg!

Was always a fan of the Capri's, this is my 4th one that I have owned, my first was a 82, fun car.. That sucks you had to shelf your project.. That's why I am just getting back on this really had no place to put it, still really don't, figured was time to bring it home.. Have a good one Dan!

Cool project, if you need any pictures of my 84 RS, let me know. Mine is Silver with Canyon Red interior. Very few options on mine. I've had it for 40 years last month. Still have the window sticker. That black on the lower body was most likely added later as, I believe, all RS's regardless of body color had a lower body that was split by a horizontal stripe around the whole car, with silver on the bottom. If you want to return it to stock looks, that is!

Thanks Joe, good to know. I was looking at the bottom of the doors and I see there is a orange, red stripe on the inside of the doors that was never removed when they painted the bottom.

What kind of glue will you use on this kit, Kreg? 😃 Just kidding, I admire someone with the skill and patience to undertake a project like this. It seemed like there has been a slight pause in your video releases .... so I was guessing from our conversation in Taylor you might be doing some 1:1 work on the Capri.

How's going Ray? This take a special glue lol, this was a complete car when I started other then engine and trans. I have been waiting for some supply's to get back on my Monogram Mustang build, plus weather has been nice and getting parts rounded up for the Merc. Have a good one Ray..
