Thank you for sharing; Do the decals need a Gloss Surface to adhere to?
@kregskorner8851Күн бұрын
Nop, I usually wet sand then decal and clear over all.

They really need to bring some of these older model kits back. I am desperate to get my hands on a good Cobra 427 and a 68 Cougar. Clicked on the vid because. Subscribed because of the content. Really pretty color.

Great job, Kreg. Now I know how to do that correctly! Tried it recently and didn't wring out the q-tip. Thinner ran onto the paint and had to re-paint that area. Smdh. Thank you Kreg👍

I'm jealous. Not only did your BMF not rip, but it actually stuck as well! My last 2 sheets were garbage🤬😡

I have another sheet I started with and was a no go, seems like about 4-5 months just toss it.

Cool build Kreg! The paint is beautiful. I agree, sometimes you end up picking through it to finish. I think it turned out great! 😎👍

I need to practice some BMF...looks killer. I'm going to build one of these as a 92 25th anniversary that I had in college.

I also have Passche airbrushes & I have used, with success, straws from spray pumps, the clear or white skinny straws. If they have a problem fitting on the paint bottle cap you can heat the end with a hair dryer to soften the straw end to fit the cap nipple, then let it cool. Trim to length, cut a V on the bottom so it doesn't clog against bottle side. I reused old Floquil bottles, 2oz to mix Testors enamels. The straws were also sold as bottle parts, but are hard to find in longer sizes.

Awesome stuff Kreg! 👏 I do the BMF trick too and the paint removal is cool and stress full too... Lol I have started to just print out my plates on white paper and glue them on like that, Didn't think of using the chrome pin... Lol I like the black on the tail lights, classie... 😁 LLAP 🖖

What’s the benefit of the LP paints over the Acrylics? I’ve got almost all of the Tamiya Acrylics and don’t want to spend the money to replace them anytime soon. And what was the adhesive remover you used? One more question, I know you’re a Ford guy, who makes the closest Ford Engine Blue paint? Thanks. Peace and love.
