I have given up planting anything in the summer. I keep those from the spring alive. This is already a lot of work and they still look stressed out. Our summer is hot and dry with three digits of temp. It is too much for the plants and ME! I will wait till Oct and it will give me three months of growth. 9b

Very good video and information. I've had snapdragon in 2 of my raised beds for a few years now. I'll give these others a try and follow the planting schedule you advised. We're in Virginia, zone 7a. Our average first frost date is between mid-October and early-November.

Hi, Angela! Ok, I do the announcements for my ward, and I have a different theme each week. I decided to do a flower theme, and was like, "Angela's taught me so many flowers- I got this!" ;'D In fact, I'm just gonna copy and paste all of our announcements here, because I learned half of these flowers from you. :D Welcome to the Floral Edition of the Fold Who’s your dandelion?! DI Pod- Thurs, July 18th - Wed July 24th: I wanted to tell you what the bin at the stake center was going to be. Otherwise it’s all, “WHAT IN CARNATION IS THAT THING?!?!?!” “In coming daisy, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the constant influence of the Holy Ghost.” Interfaith Choir for 9/11 Day of Service: Last year so many people Rose to the occasion to sing. Iris hoping we’d have a choir again this year, and we do! The choir will be singing at the Houston National Cemetery, where people will Phlox to help on 9/11. The deadline to sign up is Aug 11th. [then I have a button link here that says "Forget-me-not"] You had me at Hydrangea. JustServe Spotlight: Harbor Hospice is hoping for some fall décor for 30 doors for their 30 patients. ….Ok, Mum’s the word if anyone asks, but just so you know, Harbor Hospice is home to some of the most notorious retired gangsters, including: -Black-eyed Susan -Lily-of-the-Rio-Grande-Valley -Creep Myrtle -Rude Becky-uh -Butch Chrysanthemum and the Sunflower Kid and… -the MariGold Father Katie Anderson Baptism: Did you notice I didn’t write any baptism puns? That’s because I never joke. Orchid. Seminary Kick-Off: Seminary really helps students stay on the straight and Yarrow. Parents are invited, so quit being a pansy and bring your poppy. I should stop writing these: It is getting ranunculus. (Oh, snapdragon!)

First, thank you for the very relevant videos and information. Now, way off subject, but I hope you can help. I'm in Coolidge so not too far from you. My question is, what is the best way to cure sweet potatoes here? Too hot outside, too hot in the garage, not hot or humid enough in the house! Please!? I do think they are very close to needing to be harvested. I think if anyone can help it's you. Thanks again!

I'm so sad my calendula was doing so beautiful, but it got powdery mildew and I've tried everything. Neem, milk, soap and water. Idk what to do.

Calendula doesn't like the heat. I would remove the plant and plant again in a new spot when temps are cooler.
