This is not only a good introduction to new players but also a great example for DM to explain things to new players. its shorter than critical role and i like that it not only maintains the idea of D&D for classic players but has a something i can show new player in my games so yes please continue making these.

My first DM was similarly helpful, inviting, and accepting. It's a big reason why I continued with the hobby. DnD community members who are open and helpful to newcomers make the hobby special. The first few times I played I had people staying an hour after with me answering questions, giving pointers, just talking shop. Made a world of difference. Those people who stayed late? They're now my out of shop-homebrew group

I've been playing D&D for over 30 years. Started with the old basic boxed set, and expert boxed set, onto AD&D then 2nd ed, 3rd, avoided the edition that shall not be named and dabbled in 5th. I've ran many campaigns and created many worlds of my own. So I know how to play D&D, but I still get excited over these tutorials, because it is so exciting to see new people learn and get into the game. Every campaign I run, I try to get one person that has absolutely no experience with D&D or roleplaying games. People who don't know all the standard methods of everything we have learned to do over time. New players are the best.

I was impressed with Mixi bringing the knowledge and enthusiasm as a new player.

Great job. I started in D&D with the 1st edition books, still have them actually. My uncle gave them to me. He set me and my cousins down with paper, pencil, and dice (much to our parents' dismay as D&D had a rather bad rap in the 80's) That was it. But we had great imaginations as well. He walked us through character creation and a very fun campaign over 5 years. It was epic, I miss doing that, so this was a treat for me. Thank you so much for doing this and introducing people to the game

First ever D&D character I played was an Ewok for a Star Wars based campaign. I used a blow gun (think Teemo from League of Legends). That campaign ended when we left the final boss the campaign was building up to stranded on a desert planet with absolutely no way off... That DM still hasn't forgiven us for doing that.

Hey I've recently bought the starter kit of DnD. I always thought of DnD as a nerd extreme game for neckbeards I blame the tropes from media but as I've gotten older I'm fine with doing what brings me joy regardless of what people assume. (28 now)Stranger Things has shown me that it's about having fun with people you enjoy being around. I really like the energy of everyone here it's exactly what i wanted to see as an intro into the game. Thank you all for doing what you enjoy and inspiring others to do the same.

Master level explanation of character creation. Im a new dm with 2 new players and one of the biggest struggles I had was explaining character creation. This is a huge help for me.

As a DM, I would not be able to force a player to start with three ability scores in the single digits. I would allow them to re-roll at least one of those completely.

I’m a 38 year old mom who is obsessed with LOTR since I was 20, and I have been watching the extended version of the trilogy every 6 months or so since it became available, I’m on my 4th play through of Skyrim since I discovered it in 2012, and I love The Song of Ice and Fire series. I think D&D is for me, but I don’t know how to approach it at my age. This video motivates me to give it a try and find a group to play with. Great video!

I love this so much. Divinity Original Sin was my intro to RPG and I've been dying to get into DnD. This really highlighted the fact that I legit already built my character in Divinity and I can transfer all of that and my strategy right on over.

While I wait for an eternity to finally be able to get and play these games, these videos will keep me occupied. Really useful.

D&D was created the year I was born. I have played since I was ten as well. Throughout the time when it was mistaken as satanic and we had to hide the fact that we played. I love how far it has come. No matter where I’ve lived, through Canada and the U.S. I’ve gamed. It’s one of the greatest forms of fellowship and creativity any group of people can experience together. I am looking forward to watching your group crush.

Thank you so much starter kit for rekindling the d&d flame in me. After watching all the seasons of starter kit, I moved on to acquisitions incorporated and the god of all dms ( you know who he is) Mr. Matthew Mercer and the critical role crew. These 2 are my inspiration. I run my own campaign weekly ( weakly) and I'm really learning a shit load from both these top notchers. I find acquisitions incorporated a bit more humorous (its pretty much about stroking Omen Drans libido) to hilarity. Critical role has the more serious role playing aspects i crave, a great storyline, an intensely immersive world and Trinket and Crumpet. AQ has Jim Darkmagic, (of the NH Darkmagics). IM FROM NEW HAMPSHIRE!!!! WHY HAVE I NOT RUN INTO ANY OF THESE FOLKS???. But I digress. I started playing in the early 80s with Jim Headburg and his brother in Manchester NH. The red box. Yup. That one. It has a set of ugly brown dice and a white crayon(?)....this was to fill in the numbers...😆....and they were the most magical dice i had ever laid eyes on.then came second edition....I was balls deep in the thac0 charts (who, indeed, wasn't?) Tome of magic was my Bible. Then 3rd edition and I fell out of favor with the gods of role play till about 3 months ago( its February of 2021 and covid rules the world).
