The details you're getting in these interviews and video format are killer! Has anyone ever mentioned how they handle health insurance when they first start out? Are they taking a chance and skipping on it or did they pay for private insurance early on?

That's a good question. One thing you can do is start building on the side and stay on your employer's health insurance (that's what i did)

Great video as always! I’m curious to understand why he took the path of 5 different newsletters instead of having a single focus of growing one newsletter. This is thought provoking because I’ve always stuck to the assumption that sticking to a single task or project yields the highest returns and growth, but Alex is obviously crusting it with 5 letters.

Love the video Pat! Alex said that he will pay a $1000 to get in front of 10000 people in his niche. Isn't that a cpm of $100. Is it too high or normal in newsletters?

I think it all depends of what you are selling and the value of the audience. Eg. if the newsletter audience are architects and I sell a software for architects at a premium price ($100/m), then it would make sense to spend the money + it's a good branding exercise

Great content, that noise that comes in with the black box titles kept on distracting me from the video. I think you didn't have the noise in the last title one and it was good. Not sure if anyone else was distracted but it was hard with that zooming noise.
