ta dah samantha! gotta love slow stitch. it is a life saver in the evenings when handsome hubby is watching something on the tele...hudson and i snuggle on the couch under a blanket...cuz it is about 70 degrees here...lol...and i slow stitch...love it!!! go create, go play, go have fun samantha!

Hi, Lovely Lady, so good to see you on the table doing new stuff. I am inspired by your lovely work and have loads of fabrics to give this slow stitch technique a really good go! I did one but, although layers are lovely, the more fabrics you put down, the more fabrics are hidden and I can never make up my mind which to hide and which to show. I, too, can hardly wait for the final piece to be revealed. Thank you for sharing. x

oh pamela...it is so much like the mixed media that i have done for years...start off with the 'underpants' and keep adding...i really do not even pay attention to the fabrics...i am after a certain feel...as long as different fabrics peek through i am happy....and the more layers a piece has...the more energy it has...so fun to play with! go create, go play, go have fun!

I have some of my daughter’s tshirts. 💔🌀 when I wear them it’s very comforting. I totally understand your army shirt. I love your slow stitching, I’ve never gotten into it, but I admire those that do it. Can’t wait to watch this progress. Have a great rest of your week.

Yes! I love watching you create these individual pieces. May I ask the size of your base and side panels? What a wonderful stash of materials. This is something I'd like to try myself. Can't wait for the next steps. LorrieMarie, your explanation about the NAVY T-shirt touched my heart. You have a piece of clothing from your son who has passed and it continues to live through your grandsons.

thank you claire for your heartfelt comment...thank you! the base is probably about 8" across and the panels are probably about 8" x 8". i have 3 of the panels done now...i will create a video with all the panels and the base (its all. about the bass...lol) thank you for your interest in the slow stitching...it is so relaxing!!! go create, go play, go have fun!

lol...a rotary cutter! what a great idea! my slow stitching is very similar to my mixed media...start out with the first layer...the underpants..add a fun layer...then cover it...then cover THAT up...let everything peek through a little bit...ta dah pattie! i hope you are feeling grand today my friend... go create, go play, go have fun!

One disappointment with this video …. It ended!!! Gotta say watching you do this took me back to when we did fabric stuff in the early days and brought a tear to my eyes. I sat trying to work out how I could go back to art, but at the moment I must enjoy watching rather than doing. Love you and your work so much. ❤️❤️❤️

and then there were five....five panels in total but i did not want to bore you with the last two...i am nearly done with the panels...so i will create a video showing all of them...thank you for the smiles fergie! with the slow stitching...it would be really hard to price the fabric basket....better just to use it myself or give it as a gift...xo

i have a box of fabric scraps belinda....where did i get them? hmmmm....i have some friends that are quilters....they are the best for fabric scraps!!! i have a huge supply right now...but...i will need to snuggle up to a quilter here in costa rica soon...lol!!! go create, go play, go have fun!
