Awesome progress, keep it up. Regarding the rivets being silver i think it would make sense only if more body parts were done the same way, otherwise it would look misplaced. The amount of rivets on that panel plus the amount on the door might take away from the stealthy look, but hey, you do you, i bet i will look amazing either way.

I love watching all of these videos! Your work is fantastic and is thoroughly inspiring! ...makes me want to get out in the garage and keep rolling on mine! I'm surprised you've not picked up a pneumatic rivet gun. After working with a similar hand rivet tool and having the stupid thing break on a 1/4" rivet, smashing my knuckles bloody, I finally broke down and just bought a pneumatic. I think I invented a few new curse words in the process, but ultimately, the pneumatic has been quicker, easier, and far less bloody! lol

Hardest thing about working with aluminum is that the metal doesn't have "memory". Most shops have the "aluminum guy" to work on F150s and such. I am most excited to see how the body comes out.

If you paint the panel then do the rivets it’ll match the door nicely, but it won’t match the rest of the body. If it were me, I would have it match the rest of the body panels and paint it all assembled. Just my two cents.

I bought one on 10/04 still waiting for pick up date but somebody parts I need to get it replace.

Is the bottom of that drivers side panel right? Looks like it’s still not back in its correct location. Also seems like you are going to reinstall the armor plate. If so, why?
