Yo! I'm one of the ten people in the comments that does nothing but work on ponds for a living. What you have there is Spatterdock, and if left unchecked it WILL take over that pond edge to edge. Fortunately it's pretty easy knock them back with certain herbicides (basically anything with a decent concentration of Fluminoxazin, I like flumigard.) I like to do backpack sprayer applications so I can treat specific patches rather than kill them all off as having some can be very beneficial to a pond's ecosystem. The people in the comments saying if you get rid of them all, you'll start getting algae blooms are telling the truth. Also, don't listen to the people saying to get carp, specifically grass carp. They don't eat as much vegetation as people think, and they will not touch spatterdock. As they age they mostly forage on the bottom of ponds, eating beneficial submerged plants, and they just end up turning ponds into muddy pits. Holy shit, I feel like a giant nerd, but I hope it helps. (fly me out, and I'll take care of them for you 👀)

Lily pads are good for ponds and the fish in them, if you get rid of them in a pond that's in the open like that then you will be spending money on getting rid of algae blooms, just treat them like a flower bed and trim back when needed

Hope you see this adam. Water Hyacinth is the name of the weed in your pond. Considering your pond is relatively small, the cheapest and most effective way to get rid of them is physically removing the plants. The other option is herbicide which is less effective and expensive. Many of the plants are attached because they send out shoots that grow into a new plant so you can pull them out in bunches. Lay a tarp on the ground next to the pond, and you can use a long stick or ideally a net on a pole to scoop them out onto the tarp. Either throw them in a dumpster or dump them in the woods but make sure they arnt near any bodies of water or theyll continue to grow. These vicious bastards are hard to kill which is why its best to remove them if you can. Otherwise within 2 weeks, the entire ponds surface will be covered with them.

I’m one of the 10 people that makes a living working on ponds and I feel so called out 😂😂😂 Lilies definitely need to be kept in check otherwise they’ll choke out the entire pond. You can spray them with glyphosate and a surfactant in a backpack sprayer. It does not take much chemical at all. Only a few ounces should take care of them! Hope this helps!

The fd s15 should become a reliable demo car like the rtr demo mustangs - throw a 5/600 2j in it that just runs with no issues, throw a current e36 like livery on it and use it at gridlife events and such

The Lilly pads will grow on any water under 6ft deep. They don't hurt anything, and will bloom with pretty blooms later in the summer. If you still want them gone you'll have to rip them out by hand. Put some carp in there. They'll eat on it occasionally.

go in the pond with a skid steer and dig it out deeper. if sun light can't hit the bottom stuff is less likely to grow. I want to see that content!

Aquacide pellets work great on killing lily pads in your pond …both of my ponds were covered in Lily pads a month ago

Lilie pads like their leaves to be dry overall. If you put in a fountain, it will keep them at the perimeter where that water isnt splashing down. Add led lighting to make it an even cooler spot to shoot content.

We used to just chuck essentially a giant treble hook attached to a rope to pull out lilly pads. Or, more effective is just use a raft to pull them manually. Just grab and pull them out. It goes quick if you don't mind getting a little wet and dirty.

keep the lilly pads and put some bass in there!

Fun fact, the wax undercoating would work for preventing rust between layers of metal. We use it in frame rails that get repaired and behind body panels that you can’t really reach the back of. It’s specifically designed for stuff like that.

The black overspray on the the lower front end is done by more JDM brands, my Lexus has it as well. It is done to "hide" the factory body color behind the open mesh grill of the front bumper. Thereby giving the grill a more uniform black look when you look at it from the outside. It sort of looks cheap without it.

If you really want well seasoned you should put a switchable waste gate and same with the exhaust. Then you can have a quieter drive or open both up for party time! 🤙🤙

best thing you can do is separate those two pieces of metal by drilling them apart, and then have your mind blown when you realize there is a shit load more under there than you ever would have expected. Look again when adam flashes the camera under the strut tower and youll see rust spots coming through. guarantee under that sheet of metal the other side is completely Fd-

The lily pads are great for the ecosystem, chill spot to hang out for the animals, you could maybe take some of them out so they whole pond isn’t filled with them but idk😂 or just get rid of them all I guess🤷‍♂️

There's a thing called a weed razor you toss it out pull it back does a good job. Leave a portion of the lily pads but you can certainly take back most of the pond!

acid dip the chassie doors hood and boot it gets rid of all that paint, bondo, rust, factory sound deadening and more in every nook and cranny, cleans it down to %100 bare metal

Don't completely get rid of the lilies but control them just by pulling some of it and throwing it in the woods.

I've been having lilly pad problems in my pond too. I have a lot of geese coming in and out so I'm pretty sure all the birds are crapping seeds every where.

Adam that front lower section painted black on the s15 is normal. I noticed it on my pearl white one 15 years ago when I had it also. It’s ether extra protection or to hide parts u can see in through the bumper.

Only reason to get rid of lily pads is for fast rc boats, that ponds too small for that, but if you want to get rid of them anyway just get a long aluminum rake for weed clearing and just pull them out by the root, i cleared out about that many lily pads in a hour with that rake a couple years ago in a pond a little bigger

You can spray the pads with weed and grass killer if you really don’t want them in the pond or spend a lot of money and spray them with an aquatic poison. If you have fish in the pond that would be the safer route. Even though here in the south we spray weed and grass killer on everything in ponds.

The strut tower rust problem is common on Skyline's as well. Larry Chen (Hagerty channel) went to Garage Yoshida and they explain that the seals around that area aren't properly done from factory. Apparently even the ones that look fine from the outside hide rust as I believe even Larry's own R34 had cancer in the towers even though it looked clean

S15 should be pro street Australian styled. big power, big turbo, OEM+, drag radials, street friendly exhaust with an AES exhaust cut out

The reason mid-late 90's/early 2000's jdm cars suffered corrosion problems more is because of the economic crisis in Japan (google 'the lost decade'). There would have been many costs cut in production, which is why s13's etc don't really seem to have the same corrosion issues as s14/15, r34 etc
