I wanted to know if it was a better use of my money buying a seed starting kit, or using an old jar and some seed starting mix to get a garden going. Let's find out in the first part of "Starting Seeds on a Budget"

@@LayneFamilyFarmstead have you tried sprouting seeds between paper towels and a little water in a container. in the dark place?

Easy to tips and tricks ect I haven’t tried that before. I’ve seen other people do it

We have had issues in the past with the little pod things. They dry out really easily so keep an eye on that. Also you can't keep the seedlings super long in it as its just peat moss and there ins't any nutrition in it for the plant. Good luck with the growing :) Also we used the same seed starting mix last year for our plants and it worked great!

I plan to transplant as soon as I see signs of growth.
