The 30-60 Mogul Tractor can be started using a one horsepower gasoline, air cooled starting motor.
The starting engine has a friction pulley on the crankshaft. The engine sits on a base with an accentric that when you pull a lever, it moves the friction pulley against the flywheel.
The compression release on the engine needs to be on or the little engine can't turn it over.
