l agree with the others who said you should do a cookbook. Your food, whoever cooks it, always looks delicious, and it is so healthy, you must be so healthy too. Neither of you ever seems to put on weight even though you eat so well. Another captivating video thankyou so much.

A video idea for you: what the general public should/shouldn’t do when around or walking by a canal boat. I’ve seen sooo many people stare in windows, let their dogs on the boat, etc. I always put my dogs on leads if going past canal boats, always aware that these are peoples’ homes! But are there any other things that you’ve come across that wish people wouldn’t do? As someone who does not live on a narrowboat, I’d be interested to know. Just incase.

Good DIY jobs Benny🎉. Was much worse than you originally thought but what an improvement!! Your shelving was definitely better with the end panels. Food looked very appetising.🎉. Hi Both. Love your vids. I had a narrow boat for 14 years but didn't live on it. A couple of tips. Never use yacht varnish for any outside wood or even inside if subject to direct sunlight. Definitely not under your decking. Always use sadolin which is expensive but brilliant at preserving wood inside and out. Only use high grade marine ply but if subject to high levels of damp use solid wood preferably pressure treated. Never use chipboard for anything as dampness makes it swell and crack. Always use blockboard. Always use stainless steel for screws and bolts otherwise you will have the issues you had under your decking Every time you moor up get into the habit of giving your stern gland greaser a little tighten. You will have much less water in the bilges Good luck

Been watching you for a while from Ontario, Canada (overlooking Lake St. Clair a small lake that is part of the Great Lake system) And there you are again in today’s vlog in the village of Great Haywood that we left 44 years ago. The Lock House near where you are/were moored when we lived there had a lady who fed all the local stray cats maybe that’s why you feel drawn to the area as Alan must feel vibes of kindness in the air. It is a beautiful area of course with views of Shugborough Hall & nearby Essex Bridge where our son & dog played ‘pooh sticks’ on our daily walks. On the Canal Side shop & Cafe side of the bridge at Great Haywood Junction there used to be the original canal bridge still there beside the ‘new’ bridge. So sad to see it’s no longer there, or appears not to be from different videos I’ve watched. The new bridge was built not long after we moved there in 1970 as we were told the buses sometimes became stuck on the middle of the bridge. Happy cruising and hopefully you have a wonderful summer after the cold weather you’ve had. Carole 😊

Great sequence from the drone @ 10:30 showing water gushing out of the lock gates, followed by your Narrowboat exiting. It really shows the overall scene of water levels changing as you traverse the canal.

Good morning. I watched two of your videos yesterday and woke up this morning thinking about Alan. *And, you're missing a great opportunity.* Why not give Alan a human voice, attach a camera to her collar and you, Emily and Ben write stories about her advenrues in the form of Childrens books? You can tell of narrowboat stories through the eyes of a cat. Her first story can be about her boat. Your cat is beautiful and seems adventurous - you should capture it! Let us know if you do. Some really great tracks in this episode! I'm teaching myself the Ukrainian Dorian scale, right now. Great to see the boat in it's process of being reborn. I bet you're going to come up with an amazing paintjob, soon! Do you plan to make it traditionally colorful? BENNY!!! Great vlog yet again. The farm shop was our “go to” a bit too often ! Loved the place. We were in Great Haywood Marina for 4 months after initially booking in for 2 weeks lol. We moved off and ended up missing the Market ☹️ Great job with the DIY, you all worked very hard. 🥰

Have you looked into getting an automatic bilge pump to put into your engine room? Very cheap and easy to install.

Cruising the level waters of the topography of the land using locks to go up or down a few metres at a time is great to see... 8 inches per mile squared is a nonsense on the level realm. Keep on cruising the level you wonderful peeps!!

Hello, Ben & Emily!! A short time ago, your channel popped up in my feed and that hasn't stopped. So I watch and like 👍 and have really enjoyed the content and the music!! After reading the description today and discovering the songs are all by Benny, I subscribed. I'm an amateur musician who studies music theory in my retirement. How I'm going to manage another subscription, I don't know? But I'm a codger, so I do have some time. Very partial to the UK, maybe more on that later. What if you sourced a 12volt water pump, another garden hose and a sprayer and pumped canal water to wash off the deck and more importantly wash off the muddy bike BEFORE you brought it back aboard?
