What I do is scribe (etch) the number on the rod and cap. Then you can just match the numbers up. Also, remove the piston cooling nozzles (jets) before removing the pistons. You might have bent one. I recommend removing them and checking them. Make sure they all look good and don't have marks on them.

I hope you put a pick up tube in the oil pan before you put that on. I didn’t see it just thought I’d say some.

just make a double check on rod bolt tq. Few years ago I dumped serious coin into a ls2 stroker motor. Motor ran crisp for 3 days till the first time I got on it. Looked like I never torqued a fuckin thing

I want to do this to the beast but I don’t have the lift to pull the motor lol seems easy to rebuild a 6.0 though I may borrow the fork lift from work 😏

Why wouldn't you hone the block before you put the crank back in? Now you have all that material from the honing sitting down in all the crank and rod journals......
