I was hoping to see a gallens per seconds test I am putting the same pump in my intercooler system with a roots blower on top. I will not get to flow test mine until Spring.

I'm sure people offering to help may feel weird, but I'd reconsider taking money. Those people want to see you and the channel grow. Think of it as viewer sponsorships. U are offering your time to keep people entertained, and I don't see anything wrong with accepting a payment for that. Give them a shout-out, thank them in a video, show people what their money bought, and be grateful that people want to help. I think sometimes accepting help is hard, but after you have it, ur extremely grateful that you accepted it. Just my .02. I enjoy the content, keep ur head up, and moving forward!

Looks like it will make extra room up front for more activities lol love the truck man can’t wait to see it back up and running I know the feeling I’ve been trying to find a trans for my truck because it went out before I finished my build 😂

If you have the room, mount the pump directly to the inlet and or outlet, preferably the outlet if I remember correctly. Also take a look at 417 motorsports water manifold.

Heck of a deal on the radiator. I hope your plans work out with the remote setup!

A "helper" pump? I was skeptical at first, but then agreed in short order. If theres a problem with bone stock pumps the impeller design is often so cheap it will cavitate like a mad dog when there isn't 6" of head or so, as standard radiators enjoy - losing that decreases flow efficiency and maybe severely. An easy example of impeller design that can handle drawing from a source a foot or so lower is... a pool pump. So yes: except some aftermarket impeller design capable of some lift exists to improve a stock housing, it looks like an electric [like Davies Craig or some such] is necessary when tucking the radiator to a lower position than the pump intake, front or rear.

You know they make the same pump that is made to weld on to the radiator?

What would happen if a radiator was mounted on the roof, flat level, with fake "roof rack" mounts to somewhat hide it. Could that even work, or are there principles of water flow or something that require it to be at engine level or lower or something?

Thank you for explaining this. I’ve been considering it on my build but hate to see them in the bed.

I'd say run a restrictor instead of a thermostat. You can get a variety pack and figure out which works best.

I think motion raceworks did a video a while back about the myth of needing to slow the water down by using a restrictor or thermostat and said it's not necessary you can run without if I remember correctly

Definitely don’t need to slow it down.

Can you use the stock pump by gutting the impeller, shaft and welding cap on? Used that on sbc. Just an idea

Little off subject for this video but I saw your transmission sitting there wondering what type of transmission you run and what type of horsepower it’s rated for. Going to be putting a 5.3 in my blazer hoping for 800 to 850 hp at flywheel

It’s a th400. With very minimal upgrades a th400 can hold the power you’re looking for

It’s for a old Ford pickup I think. I got it as a clearance item from Holley.
